Robin van Persie May Join United's Trip To Cardiff
Dutch footballer Robin van Persie, who plays as a striker for Manchester United, was not able to play friendlies against Japan and Colombia last week due to toe and groin injuries.
Now, Manchester United Manager David Moyes is hoping that Van Persie will join the squad for Wednesday's crucial Champions League trip to Bayer Leverkusen, where victory would ensure qualification for the next phase, The Guardian reports.
Van Persie missed Sunday's 2-2 draw at Cardiff City.
"Robin's groin is the problem at the moment, his toes [which had previously troubled him] are much better. We are hoping to get both Nemanja Vidic and Robin back as soon as we can. I hope they'll be in contention for Wednesday but I couldn't give you a definitive answer," Moyes said.
