DNA-match mother Roermond foundlings

The 25-year-old German woman who admitted to abandoning two newborn babies is indeed the mother of two children. This was evidenced by DNA testing, announced the Public Prosecutor (OM) in Keulen on Tuesday. The woman abandoned a boy in Roermond on June 18. Earlier, in October 2011, she also abandoned a girl in Hürth, near Keulen. Crying_newborn

Wikipedia.org The woman will be prosecuted in Germany. She faces a sentence of up to ten years in prison for abandoning her children. Sentences in The Netherlands run up to four years imprisonment. The German prosecutor wants to discuss the option with The Netherlands to try the mother in Germany for both cases, according to a spokesperson for the Public Prosecution in Keulen. The woman in not in custody.
