Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Euronet, which serves around 270,000 customers, will remain an independent company alongside CanalDigitaal, Broadband TV News reports. The sale of Euronet allows T-Mobile to continue to focus on mobile telecommunications and specifically mobile internet. The transaction is expected to close early 2014, subject to approval by the company’s workers council and the Dutch telecom and consumer authortiy ACM.
