Girl beaten with baseball bat

An 11-year-old girl from Ermelo was assaulted by an unknown man with a baseball bat, Friday November 15, just before 12:30 on the Groeneweg . The girl rode from the Dirk Staalweg to the Stationsstraat when the man came running toward her. His first blow hit the bike and his second hit hard against the shin of the victim. The girl fled the scene, cycling as fast as she could, and the man tried to chase her for a while. Police are investigating the case.
