Leusden resident seriously assaulted for no reason
A 24-year-old man from Leusden, near Amersfoort, was severely beaten by a large group this weekend.The police are looking for witnesses.The man was pulled off his bike in Leusden, early Saturday morning, by a member of a group of 10 to 12 men. He was beaten and kicked, and the group turned against him. After more kicks and blows the victim lost consciousness. The victim recalled regaining consciousness in nearby water.
He walked home and taken to the hospital by his father. The injured man was treated for a head injury, a concussion, and some bruised ribs. His body was black and blue.
Sunday morning three men were arrested in Eindhoven on the Hoogstraat, because they kicked and beat a 34-year-old man after an argument. The victim had to check in to the hospital.
Two men from Roosendaal were arrested because they had beaten another local unconscious. A Friend of the local was also beaten and a wallet stolen. Both victims had to go to a hospital.
The police seized a taser from a trunk in Dokkum. The two occupants were arrested.
The police are investigating the assault of two residents of Groningen who were seriously injured, when they were hit with beer bottles during a fight. Reportedly there were also shots fired. The police sealed off the area for the investigation, but no weapon was found.
A local from Onstwedde got drunk and aggressive and was arrested in Oude Pekela. He reportedly threatened and abused a police officer, and hit him in the face and body.
