No Internships Available For 3000 Students

Nearly 3,000 vocational students could not find a suitable internship during the last 4 months. This may lead to the situation that it is impossible for them to graduate. This is evident from the number of reports that the hotline for shortage of internships. The MBO institutions were unable to find the students an internship. The initiator of the hotline, foundation Cooperation Vocational Business (SBB), calls the reported problems the tip of the iceberg. "There are many more problems with internships than what is reported. Only institutions that really see any solution for the problem, knock at the door of the hotline. There are especially shortages in fashion, construction and transport. The number of companies offering internships has fallen by 7000. In total there are now 32,000 companies who have room for internships.
