Men Put Grenade In Hands Policeman

Two men gave a policeman last Tuesday a plastic bag with a grenade in the middle of the street. The shocked policeman immediately put the bag safely away and informed the bomb squad. The two men reported to the police that they have found the grenade in the surrounding of Beek, Limburg. It is most possible a grenade from WWII, which didn’t go off. They wanted to hand over the explosive to the police and therefore gave the plastic bag with grenade to the policeman. The bomb squad and the police advises people never to pick up an old grenade or bomb. It can be life threatening to walk around with such an explosive. Later on Tuesday afternoon the bomb squad let the grenade explode under controlled circumstances.
