Functionally naked in sex cinema
Vulnerable or shameless? 'Nude' is this year's main theme of the Dutch Film Festival (NFF) that starts Wednesday night in Utrecht. From the liberating sex wave in the seventies to the beauty and fragility of artistic nude.High-profile and taboo-breaking classics like Blue Movie, Turks Fruit (Turkish Delight) and Spetters shine again on the big screen. And the last sex cinema of Utrecht, Davy's Erotheek, opens its doors to the compilation Ohlala, where the beauty and fragility of the naked body are central.
Additionally the NFF brings a tribute to actress Sylvia Kristel, who passed away in October 2012 . The actress, who originates from Utrecht, would have turned 61 this year. Naturally, the soft-erotic classic Emmanuelle, with which she broke through internationally, is on the program. Also featuring are Wim Verstappens Pastorale 1943 and Pim de la Parra's Frank & Eva: Living Apart Together. There are also photos and art from her own hand on display in cinema 't Hoogt.
