NL Beats England 2-1

Netherlands defeated England 2-1 Monday night at the EuroHockey Championships in their second pool match. The Netherlands led with two goals from Jelle Galema and Billy Bakker at half-time. England showed strength and determination even though two of their players were injured. Captain Barry Middleton scored in the 54th minute, past Stockmann. But England's hard work was inadequate as the Netherlands finished the game in victory at 2-1. England will face Ireland on Wednesday.
