Digital Flag for Queen's Day

The Dutch government designed a digital flag to be used in social media on the day of the inauguration. Prime Minister Rutte presented the flag on Friday. The digital flag, called Twibbon, is a red-white-blue icon with an orange pennant. Users can download the flag from the website of the government. Dutch rules allow people to hang the ‘real’ flag outside until sunset. According to NOS.nl, it is not clear if this rule also applies to the digital flag. Like every year on Queen's Day, the government gives the ‘special flag instruction’. This means that the Dutch flag has to hang outside on all government buildings.
