Grenade on the Beach

A grenade was found at the beach of Zandvoort (Noord Holland) on Monday afternoon. When the rescue brigade noticed that there was something going on at the beach, they called for the bomb squad (EOD). On Monday evening the grenade was made to explode at another location. The type of the grenade is still unclear. It was a relatively small grenade with a length of approximately 50 cm and a diameter of 13 cm. The police think that the grenade was washed ashore.
