Two bodies found in Dutch village canal

Two bodies were found in the water of the Thijssengracht in the Overijssel village of Giethoorn on Monday morning. The police are investigating.

The area is closed down to the public and there are police and firefighters on site, according to RTL Nieuws. The police are trying to identify the victims.

The police are investigating whether there is a connection between the two bodies found and an accident in the village last week. A car crashed into the canal, and the occupants of the car has been missing since.
