Missing Korean student found dead in Leiden canal

The police found the body of missing Korean student Youngmin Kwon in the water at the Leidse Kort Galgewater on Tuesday. Kwon was last seen alive during the early hours of Sunday morning, AD reports.

The 25-year-old student form South Korea lived and studied in Leiden. He disappeared after a night out.

On Tuesday afternoon the police told local broadcaster Unity that a body was found in the water. The Leiden police now confirmed that it is the missing student.

The police are investigating how he died.
