Woman regains consciousness after boyfriend's assassination

The 30-year-old girlfriend of Djordy Latumahina regained consciousness and is no longer in life-threatening danger, the Amsterdam police said on Twitter. She was critically injured in a shooting in Amsterdam on Saturday. Latumahina was killed. The two and their 2-year-old daughter were in their car in the parking lot under their home on Koningin Wilhelminaplein when two men opened fire on them. Latumahina died at the scene. The woman was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. The little girl sustained no injuries. The police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting. The victims are not connected tot he criminal world.
