Two new arrests in Amsterdam toddler kidnapping

The police arrested two new suspects on Tuesday in connection with the kidnapping of 2-year-old Insiya Hemani, Het Parool reports. One suspect was arrested in the Netherlands. The other was arrested in Germany, where the police believes the 2-year-old Amsterdam girl currently is. The police also searched a home in Germany, but did not find Insiya. The little girl was kidnapped from her mother's apartment in on Watergraafsmeer in Amsterdam on September 29th. Three men came to take her. A neighbor managed to overpower one of the men and hold him until the police arrived. A second suspect turned himself in at a police station a day later. Both suspects are still in custody. The police assume that Insiya's father Shehzad Hemani is behind the kidnapping. Insiya's parents were in the midst of a custody battle that was set to appear in court the day after the girl was taken.
