Lawyer Jan Piet van R. was arrested on Monday night in the investigation against former No Surrender leader Klaas Otto, the Public Prosecutor confirmed to the Telegraaf. A number of addresses was raided on Monday and more will be raided on Tuesday, according to the newspaper.

The Public Prosecutor spokesperson could not say why the lawyer was arrested. Otto claims that he works for the Amsterdam lawyer and visited clients for him abroad, according to the Telegraaf.

On Sunday night the police arrested five people in Drachten and Boelenslaan following a reported kidnapping of a 26-year-old man from Almelo. The Almelo man was forced into a car on Baalder in Drachten and held there against his will, the police said in a statement on Monday.

Stinky white smoke curling from a chimney led to the discovery of an ecstasy lab in Eindhoven on Sunday.

Passersby noticed the smoke on Rapenlandstraat and called the police around 10:00 a.m. Officers and firefighters agreed that the smelly smoke was suspicious and decided to search the building. Inside they found a large ecstasy lab in "full operation", according to the police. No one was in the building while it was searched.

The partner of murdered Amsterdam woman Susanna Boon is in custody again. A spokesperson for the Public Prosecutor would not say why he was arrested again, newspaper AD reports.

A hiker found Boon's body in a forest in Nunspeet Gelderland on March 29th. The woman had been missing since January 8th last year after a fight with her partner at her home on Jacob van Lennepstraat.

A high-speed car chase on the A15 near Gorinchem ended in the arrest of 4 suspected ATM bombers during the early hours of Friday morning. The car chase reached such speeds that a police car was damaged, according to Dutch newspaper AD.

Around 2:50 a.m. this morning, the police received a report that a Rabobank ATM was bombed in Chaam. Four suspects sped away in a car towards Ulvenhout and Breda. The police sealed of the scene for a forensic investigation and started hunting the perpetrators and their getaway car, also deploying a police helicopter to help wth the search.

The former leader of motorcycle gang No Surrender, , was arrested from his bed in Bergen op Zoom on Friday morning, his lawyer Louis de Leon confirmed to Omroep Brabant. This arrest comes only four days after he was released from custody on Monday. His righthand man Janus de V. was also arrested, according to the broadcaster.

On Thursday the police arrested a 24-year-old man from Amsterdam on suspicion of involvement in the aggravated assault of a gay couple in the Dutch capital in October last year, the police announced in a statement on their website. 

The assault happened on Ruijterkade on October 16th. Three young men on scooters attacked the gay couple, seemingly out of nowhere. The police believe that the couple was targeted due to their sexual orientation. One of te victims sustained a fractured skull in the attack and spent some time in the hospital.

Five men were arrested in Zaandam for possessing and dealing hard drugs, the police said on Tuesday. This investigation was launched after the police received multiple reports of drug problems from an apartment in a building on Peperstraat.

The police searched the apartment and found a firearm and a quantity of hard drugs packaged for sale. The investigation led officers to the five men in question. 

Four of the suspects were arrested and released after questioning. A 25-year-old from Zaandam is still in custody. The drugs were confiscated and destroyed.

On Tuesday the police arrested a fifth suspect in connection with the kidnapping and murder of Jdesse Boerenveen, who was at Almere-Haven on December 22nd. The suspect, 46-year-old Jeffrey K., is the owner of a garage in Wormerveer where Boerenveen was held hostage and assaulted, Het Parool reports.

The police believe that more arrests may follow.

The Dutch police found a woman in Spain who they believe worked as a slave in a household in the Netherlands for three years, the Telegraaf reports.

The woman comes from a very poor part of Morocco. Her father sent her to the Netherlands to work as a slave for a family that also came from Morocco, according to the newspaper. She received no wages, does not have a residency permit and was not allowed out of the house alone. The family paid her father a small amount for her work.

The Amsterdam police arrested one man and two women on January 30th. They are suspected of seducing elderly men online, making a date with them and then robbing them of their belongings, the police said in a statement on Thursday. Investigators believe that more men may have fallen victim to these perpetrators and call on them to contact the police.

Anonymous tip line Report Crime Anonymously gave a record number of 16,900 tips through to the police last year. Thanks to these anonymous tips a total of 1,671 suspects were arrested and more than 1,100 crimes were solved or prevented, the tip line announced with its annual figures on Tuesday, ANP reports.

About one in three tips received by the hot line is eventually given through to the police. The majority of the tips were made by telephone and about a quarter came in online.

The International Criminal Court (ICJ) in The Hague supports American lawyer Chaka Laguerre wish for an independent investigation into her arrest in The Hague last month. According to the lawyer, her arrest was racially motivated and excessively violent. In a statement released by the ICJ last week, and posted on Facebook on Monday, the court says that it "continues to follow this matter closely and would like the facts of the incident to be fully clarified."

Pegida leader Edwin Wagensveld was arrested on Sunday afternoon during a demonstration by the anti-Islam movement in Utrecht. According to the police, he was arrested for demonstrating where he was not allowed to, ANP reports.

"He was on the Janskerkhof making a statement towards various media. This was not allowed, so we took him away", a police spokesperson said to the news wire. Wagensveld was taken to a police station for questioning.

Three teenage boys are in custody for gang raping a 35-year-old woman from Schiedam, Rotterdam in November last year. A magistrate remanded them into custody for two weeks on Thursday, Eindhovens Dagblad reports.

The suspects, 15-year-old twins and a 16-year-old friend, were taken from their beds and arrested on Monday morning. The gang rape happened on the twins' 15th birthday, according to the newspaper.

A high speed police chase on the A4 and A13 that reached speeds over 200 kilometers per hour, ended in Delft with the suspects' car on its roof against the railing of a building site. No one was injured. Three suspects were arrested, NU.nl reports.

The police spotted the car just after midnight on the highway. It had stolen number plates. The police signaled the driver to stop. Initially the driver seemed to be following instructions, but then suddenly sped off. The police gave chase.

A flakka dealer was arrested in Nijmegen on Tuesday, the first to be arrested in the Netherlands. Flakka is a new hard drug that recently started circulating in the Netherlands. It is also known as the zombie-drug and according to the police, can make you do "very strange things", Omroep Gelderland reports.

The arrest was made based on a tip from Alberto Stegeman of the program Undercover in Nederland. He told the police that a drug deal was set to happen in Nijmegen. The police acted on this information and arrested the suspected dealer.

A large quantity of heroin was discovered on a small aircraft at the Teuge Airport in Gelderland earlier this month, the police announced on Monday. The crew of the small aircraft was searched and two Germans, age 28 and 30 years, were arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking.

A 22-year-old man from Breda was arrested on Sunday in connection with the theft of four chocolate-colored Old English Bulldog puppies from care farm De Mekkerbek in Baarle-Nassau last week, ANP reports.

The Breda police went to the man's home based on a tip and found one of the very expensive puppies there.

Six underage kids were arrested at Amsterdam Central Station on Sunday evening on suspicion of assaulting a fellow passenger in a stationary subway train. The victim was injured in the face and knee, Het Parool reports.

The assault happened around 8:30 p.m. on subway 54, which travels to Gein. The victim was assaulted by seven attackers. Six of them were arrested, with the aid of GVB personnel. The suspects are between the ages of 14 and 16 years, all from Amsterdam Zuidoost.

The police are still looking for a seventh suspect, a 20-year-old man.

Three teenage boys will be prosecuted for their involvement in a sexting case involving dozens of sexually explicit photos of underage girls attending Tilburg schools being spread on social media without the girls' consent. The suspects are a 16-year-old boy from Tilburg, a 17-year-old from Waalwijk and a 17-year-old living in Belgium, AD reports.
