Boy, 8, drowns in fish pond

An 8-year-old boy drowned in a fish pond in the Limburg town of Meijel on Thursday, ANP reports. The boy was found in the water late afternoon. Emergency services took him out and tried to resuscitate him, but to no avail. He died at the scene. It is unclear how the boy ended up in the water.
