Hundreds of women accused Brazilian spiritual healer and medium João Teixeira de Faria of sexual abuse and rape. Prosecutors in Brazil have now received over 200 hundred declarations against the 76-year-old man. Dutch choreographer Zahira Lieneke Mous was the first to come out and speak against the man, AD reports.

A video that went viral on Dumpert, showing candidate councilor for Kansrijk Winterswijk Paul Hijink kicking a chair after a disappointing election debate, resulted in a flood of sexist message sent to D66 candidate in Winterswijk Loes ten Dolle, who can also be seen in the video.

"They are just dirty and nasty messages", Ten Dolle said, according to the Telegraaf. She hasn't received any threats.

A GroenLinks employee was fired for sexually assaulting a trainee. The employee tried to grope and kiss the trainee multiple times, GroenLinks announced after a court ruled that the dismissal was justified, ANP reports.

The party first gave the employee an official warning, ordered him to talk to a health a safety officer, go into therapy and apologize to the victim. Until all those requirements were met, he was not allowed to return to the faction. But shortly thereafter it was decided that this was not enough.

One in ten internal confidential counselors have been ignored by their employer at least once when speaking up for a victim of sexual harassment. The same is true for 23 percent of confidential counselors that work outside the company, according to a survey commissioned by the national association of confidential counselors LVV and research program De Monitor, ANP reports. 

One in six employees in the Netherlands face problems from bullying- or harassing colleagues, according to LVV. That amounts to more than 1.2 million people.

Last year aid organization Doctors Without Borders handled 24 cases of employees being involved in sexual harassment or abuse, seven of which fell under the responsibility of the Dutch division of the charity. Twenty of these aid workers were dismissed, including five that fall under the Netherlands, RTL Nieuws reports.

This "joke" left the employee involved "severely upset", Fire Brigade Commander Leen Schaap wrote on the Amsterdam-Amstelland brigade's intranet earlier this month, AD reports.

Like last year, 'vacture', or 'vacancy' in English, topped the list for the Netherlands this year. According to Twitter, this shows that the platform plays an important role in finding jobs in the Netherlands, RTL Nieuws reports.

Roughly 75 percent of adult-aged men in the Netherlands say they have never engaged in any form of sexual misconduct, a new survey conducted by newspaper AD reveals. Over 300 men were questioned in the survey, conducted as six weeks of high profile reporting has detailed sexual abuse and harassment allegations against prominent international and Dutch figures.

About one of every seven countered said they could not be sure if they did or did not cross a boundary, answering, “I can not be the judge of that.”

Multiple actors are pressing charges of sexual intimidation against Dutch producer and director Job Gosschalk, crime journalist Peter R. de Vries said on RTL Boulevard. On Tuesday Gosschalk released a statement announcing his resignation and acknowledging that he "crossed boundaries" in one-on-one dealings with actors. According to RTL, this happened after the broadcaster sent him a letter containing statements from twenty sexually abused actors.

Dutch bank ING is still undecided if actor Kevin Spacey will be dropped as a speaker at its BusinessBoost event later this month after at least four men accused the American actor of sexually assaulting, abusing, or harassing them over the course of his career. An ING spokesperson told NL Times at the beginning of the week they want clarity and more information about the situation before making a firm decision to drop Spacey or to keep him as the event's headliner.

While his article in newspaper Trouw and his interview on De Wereld Draait Door named no names, the man he accused of rape is TV producer Gijs van Dam. CDA Senator Ria Oomen also says she dealt with sexual harassment as a young politician. A Minister grabbed her breasts in the 1980's, she said during a debate about sexual harassment on regional broadcaster L1. 

"He had a lot to drink and thought he was allowed certain things", Oomen said on L1. She didn't name the Minister, but did say that she set him straight immediately. "I slapped him on both sides of his face."
