Meteorological institute KNMI warns of thunderstorms in the Netherlands on Monday. A code yellow weather warning was issued for the entire country. The north-western parts of the country can expect thunderstorms this morning. From this afternoon more storms will enter the country from the south, according to the KNMI.

The Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI) has issued a code yellow warning. Strong winds of between 75 - 90 kilometer per hour is expected across the Netherlands this morning, with even stronger winds of between 100 - 110 kilometer per hour along the coast.

The heavy weather on Sunday caused several reports of water damage in parts of Brabant. In some areas, 22 mm of rain fell, leaving roads flooded and cellars under water. This morning, Weeronline.nl reports that other areas of the country have experienced 40 mm of rainfall.
