Terrorist group ISIS called for a terrorist attack during the European Women's Championship football match in Galgenwaard Stadium in Utrecht on July 19th. The call was placed on a pro-ISIS telegram channel according to RTL Nieuws.

England and Scotland will be playing in the affected match.

"In this writing I'm not trying to prove my innocence. I want to tell you what moves me, what touches me and what makes me convinced that I am working for a noble, honest affair", he wrote, according to newspaper AD.

A new database established in the Netherlands contains profiles on 207 suspected Dutch jihadists who traveled to Syria or Iraq to fight in the civil war. The figures show that the Dutch jihadists come from a wide variety of ethnic backgrounds, three quarters of them are male and they are mostly young - the average age is 23 years, the Volkskrant reports.

Police in the Netherlands arrested a 38-year-old Syrian man on allegations of involvement in a terrorist act, the public prosecutor’s office announced on Thursday. The arrest of the unnamed man is the third terrorism-related arrest in the Netherlands in a week, all three of which were in the Limburg province.

The as-Soennah mosque in The Hague received a letter in which an anonymous writer seems to threaten with an attack with a truck on a mosque or school. "Don't forget that you're vulnerable too in Europe", the letter begins. The envelope also included a toy truck, RTL Nieuws reports.

"With every cowardly attack on our citizens and children, a counter-attack can follow on your innocent visitors of mosques or whatever. A truck that hits a mosque or school! Don't forget that!", the letter states. "So beware."

A 28-year-old man was arrested in Heerlen on Wednesday afternoon as part of an investigation into terrorism.

Why the man was arrested is unclear. A spokesperson for the Public Prosecutor told newspaper AD that he is not currently suspected committing or preparing for a terrorist action. The spokesperson would say nothing else.

The suspect will be arraigned in the next few days.

An 18-year-old suspected terrorist arrested in Utrecht last week is not dangerous, according to his lawyer. The boy is a disturbed gamer, whose gotten "himself in a tricky position", lawyer Luis de Leon said, according to NOS.

"We are talking about a computer nerd that became entangled in the world of games and chat boxes. He has no affinity with ISIS, is not Muslim and is not radicalized. There is no harm in him." the lawyer said to the Volkskrant. "He does not even speak Arabic."

An 18-year-old man was arrested in Utrecht last week on suspicion of involvement in a terrorist offense, the Public Prosecutor announced on Wednesday. He was remanded to custody for 14 days during his arraignment on Tuesday.

The young man was arrested on Thursday, June 15th. According to the Prosecutor, he is suspected of spreading propaganda for terrorist organization ISIS, including violent videos. There are also indications that he instructed other on how to make explosives. The police are investigating.

No trains will be stopping at Brussels Central Station today following a small explosion there on Tuesday night, NS International said on its website. The explosion happened around 8:30 p.m. The Belgian authorities had control of the situation very quickly and no one bystanders were injured. The suspected perpetrator was gunned down by soldiers almost immediately after the explosion, ANP reports.

Minister Bert Koenders of Foreign Affairs condemned the "horrible attack" on at a mosque in London last night in a statement on Twitter. One person was killed and ten others injured when a delivery van crashed into people leaving a mosque in Finsbury Park, NU.nl reports.

"Horrible attack on mosque attendees in London. I empathize with the victims. Offered condolences to colleague Johnson", Koenders said on his Ministry's Twitter feed.

Some 70 percent of adult Dutch are worried about a terrorist attack being committed in the Netherlands, according to a study published by Statistics Netherlands on Monday. Four in ten Dutch think there is a good chance of an attack in the Netherlands and 16 percent worry about an attack on a regular basis.

Despite these concerns, only 4 percent think it likely that they themselves will be the victim of an attack.

Two people were killed when an unknown number of gunmen attacked a luxury resort in the African country of Mali on Sunday. Six Dutch were present during the attack, but escaped unharmed, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed, ANP reports.

The holiday resort Le Campement de Kangaba is popular among Western tourists and expats. The one victim that was killed had French-Gabon nationality, the other came from Angola, according to the Volkskrant. Four people were injured, and 36 others could be rescued unharmed, including the six Dutch.

Since the previous risk assessment in 2012, safety office Veiligheidsregio Amsterdam-Amstelland dropped a number of older concerns to make room for new risks like the consequences of a terrorist attacks, increasingly dangerous storms due to climate change and the internet falling out due to a cyber attack, Het Parool reports.

The Rotterdam police arrested suspected jihadist Mounir E. before the Rotterdam marathon in April and kept him in custody until the marathon weekend was over, a spokesperson for the Rotterdam police confirmed to NU.nl.

According to the spokesperson, there were suspicions that the 34-year-old man from Spijkenisse was planning an attack. This was partly based on statements from employees of the municipal transport company RET, who overheard him saying that "something beautiful will happen at the marathon: boom!", according to the newspaper.

At least eight people were injured when a car sped out of control in front of Amsterdam Centraal Station, crashing through a group of pedestrians before coming to a stop against a concrete entrance to the subway station below. The driver of the dark green or black Peugeot was taken into custody by police at the scene.

Two of those injured were seriously hurt, police said. The incident happened before 9 p.m. on Saturday.

The terrorism threat level in the Netherlands remains high at level 4 out of 5 after a terrorist attack in London on Sunday, National Coordinator Dick Schoof of Counterterrorism and Security said on Sunday. Seven people were killed and 48 others injured when three perpetrators crashed a delivery van into pedestrians on London Bridge and then got out and stabbed people on the street and in nearby pubs at around 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, NU.nl reports

A 39-year-old Dutch-Moroccan was sentenced to five years in prison by a criminal court in Ireland for threatening to kill his housemates, calling ISIS attacks in France "excellent" and saying they filled him with "great joy", and telling the police that he would cut the heads off Jews if he only had a sword, local newspaper Independent reports.
