A person was hurt in the face in a shooting on Aan het Broek in Sittard on Sunday evening, the police said. One suspect was arrested. A firearm was found in the home of the suspect, NU.nl reports.

The identity of the victim was not disclosed. The severity of their injuries is also unknown. The police partially closed own the street for investigation. 

Emergency services also received a report of a shooting on Westlandstraat. As the two streets are close together, the police assume it is the same incident.

One victim who was seriously injured in a mass shooting in Utrecht last month, is still in hospital, Utrecht mayor Jan van Zanen said in a letter to the city council. The victim's current condition is unknown, NU.nl reports.

A shooting on the Beukenlaan in Eindhoven claimed the life of at least one person on Friday morning. The victim was a 54-year-old man who died at an area hospital, according to a reporter for Omroep Brabant.

No suspects were immediately taken into custody, police in the area said.

A man who was found dead in the Utrecht village of Wilnis on Wednesday, was acquitted in February of stalking a woman who was shot and killed in Mijdrecht on Tuesday night. The woman pressed charges against the 54-year-old man in September last year, accusing him of insulting and stalking her between May and September 2018, NOS reports.

The municipality of Utrecht will plant perennials with red and white flowers, the colors of the Utrecht flag, at the memorial site for a mass shooting on 24 Oktoberplein. The thousands of flowers, letters and stuffed animals currently at the site will be removed on Tuesday, NU.nl reports.

A 54-year-old man from Zegveld was found dead along the roadside in the Utrecht village of Wilnis on Wednesday morning. He was identified as the stalker of a woman who was shot and killed in a home in the nearby Mijdrecht on Tuesday night, NOS reports.

The man's body was found on Amstelkade. According to the police, the man took his own life. The police are investigating whether the man was involved in the woman's death, and whether his suicide had anything to do with it.

A woman died in a shooting incident in a home on Landsherenstraat in Mijdrecht on Tuesday night. The police are looking for one suspect, the Utrecht police said on Twitter. A helicopter was deployed to aid in the search.

The police responded to the home at around 11:00 p.m. after receiving a report of a shooting, according to newspaper AD. Responding officers found the critically injured woman inside. Paramedics tried to resuscitate her, but it was to no avail. She died at the scene.

The motive for the shooting is not yet clear. The police are investigating.

Multiple people opened fire on a group of people from a car in Weert on Thursday afternoon. The gunmen fled the scene in the car. No one was hurt, the Telegraaf reports.

The shooting happened at around 5:50 p.m. on Sint Jozefslaan.

Shots were fired at a home on Rode Klaver in Uithoorn on Tuesday night, after bullet holes were already discovered in the home's front door on Tuesday morning. The police arrested a suspect in Amsterdam, NH Nieuws reports.

"Thanks to tips after the shooting, we got a view of a van that we found in Amsterdam", a police spokesperson said to NH Nieuws. "We pushed that vehicle off the road on Tongerenstraat." The driver of the van was arrested. A passenger fled on foot. The police are still looking for him.

So far the police received 850 tips regarding a mass shooting in Utrecht last week Monday, a police spokesperson said on Opsporing Verzocht on Tuesday. Due to the high number of tips, the police have not yet been able to make personal contact with every caller, but they will, the spokesperson said.

A 21-year-old woman from Nieuwegein who was injured in a mass shooting in Utrecht last week, was discharged from the hospital on Monday. She will continue her recovery at home, her lawyer said on Tuesday, NU.nl reports.

"She thanks everyone for the support she's receiving, in whatever form", the lawyer said. He called on the press to leave the young woman alone and respect her privacy.

The 16 thousand attendees included Prime Minister Mark Rutte, Minister Ferdinand Grapperhaus of Justice and Security, Mayor of Amsterdam Femke Halsema, Den Haag mayor Pauline Krikken, and Rotterdam's Deputy Mayor Bert Wijbenga.

The 37-year-old man suspected of opening fire on a tram in Utrecht on Monday, killing three people, confessed to the attack, the Public Prosecutor's office (OM) said on Friday. Meanwhile the release was ordered in the case of the 40-year-old resident of the home where Gokmen T. was arrested. 

T. was remanded into custody for two weeks in a hearing earlier that day. "He also stated that he acted alone. In light of the investigation, no comment can be given regarding his statement," the OM said.

A 27-year-old man that was held for a time in connection with a fatal shooting on a tram in Utrecht on Monday, says that people still see him as an attacker - even though the police released him because he wasn't involved in the attack. "On social media I have been called a traitor, and on the street I am addressed as a terrorist", he said to newspaper AD.

A group of Utrecht residents are organizing a silent march for the victims of a shooting on 24 Oktoberplein. The march will start at 7:00 p.m. on Friday on Jaarbeursplein, from where participants will walk to the scene of the attack, NU.nl reports.

"We want do do this for Utrecht", one of the organizers said to DUIC. "We want to show that we will not be knocked apart. And that we are actually getting closer together and supporting each other in this time."

The police found no indications that suspected gunman Gokmen T. received help from other people in the shooting on 24 Oktoberplein in Utrecht on Monday. He acted alone with terrorist intent, the Public Prosecutor said in a statement on Thursday.

A man was killed in a shooting on Oranjeboomstraat in Rotterdam Zuid on Wednesday evening. Emergency services responded to the scene at around 10:20 p.m., after reports of screaming and a man with a bullet wound lying on the street, a spokesperson for the police told NU.nl.

Paramedics tried to help the man, but it was to no avail. He succumbed to his injuries around 30 minutes after emergency services arrived. The identity of the victim is not yet known.

The neighbor of 19-year-old Roos Verschuur, one of three people killed in a shooting on 24 Oktoberplein in Utrecht on Monday, launched a crowdfunding campaign to raise money for the young woman's funeral. Within a day nearly 70 thousand euros was donated. While nothing will bring Roos back, neighbor Martje Beniest wants to do what she can to make things easier for Roos's father, she said to RTL Nieuws.

People attending the Dutch Comic Con in Utrecht this weekend will not be allowed to bring prop weapons to the event in De Jaarbeurs. The organization is increasing security following a shooting on 24 Oktoberplein in which three people were killed on Monday, RTL Nieuws reports.

A popular part of Comic Con is cosplay - dressing up as your favorite character from film, video game or series. While a prop weapon may be an important part of many character costumes, they will no longer be allowed due to the events on Monday, the organization said.
