"What I can say, in all honesty, is that rumors then too went around in the world", he said to the newspaper.

Roughly 75 percent of adult-aged men in the Netherlands say they have never engaged in any form of sexual misconduct, a new survey conducted by newspaper AD reveals. Over 300 men were questioned in the survey, conducted as six weeks of high profile reporting has detailed sexual abuse and harassment allegations against prominent international and Dutch figures.

About one of every seven countered said they could not be sure if they did or did not cross a boundary, answering, “I can not be the judge of that.”

Multiple actors are pressing charges of sexual intimidation against Dutch producer and director Job Gosschalk, crime journalist Peter R. de Vries said on RTL Boulevard. On Tuesday Gosschalk released a statement announcing his resignation and acknowledging that he "crossed boundaries" in one-on-one dealings with actors. According to RTL, this happened after the broadcaster sent him a letter containing statements from twenty sexually abused actors.

CDA Senator Ria Oomen also says she dealt with sexual harassment as a young politician. A Minister grabbed her breasts in the 1980's, she said during a debate about sexual harassment on regional broadcaster L1. 

"He had a lot to drink and thought he was allowed certain things", Oomen said on L1. She didn't name the Minister, but did say that she set him straight immediately. "I slapped him on both sides of his face."

The municipality of Rotterdam is making sexual harassment of women on the street a punishable offense. The city's General Local Regulation was adjusted so that anyone who cat calls, follows, asks for sex or bothers a woman in any way, will face a fine of up to 4,100 euros or up to three months in jail. This takes effect on January 1st, Security alderman Joost Eerdmans announced, RTL Nieuws reports.

The police arrested a Limburg bailiff on Monday for telling women that if they have sex with him, he would wipe out their debts. A total of 11 women pressed charges against the man, AD reports.

The Public Prosecutor and police have been. The authorities believe that he's been sexually harassing women in this way since 2001.

A young teacher was suspended from the Heerbeeck College in Best, Noord-Brabant for "inappropriate behavior with three students". The school itself does not want to comment on the affair, but students told Omroep Brabant that the teacher asked male students for pictures of their genitals - dick pics - in exchange for better grades.

A quarter of Dutch believe that if a woman dresses sexy, she should not complain when she hears sexual comments, according to a survey by research firm Ipsos on behalf of Rutgers, a knowledge center on sexuality. And 13 percent believe that girls who wear short skirts should not complain when they are harassed, AD reports.

PvdA parliamentarian Ahmed Marcouch wants to make sexual harassment on the street a punishable offense. If he has his way, anyone who cat calls, whistles, chases or in anyway sexually harasses another person on the street, will spend up to three months in jail or pay a hefty fine, ANP reports.

The Amsterdam college of mayor and aldermen wants to change the General Local Regulation in Amsterdam to make sexual harassment on the street punishable in the city. The college sent a proposal to the council with a set of measures to "make clear that Amsterdam does not tolerate (sexual) harassment on the street", Het Parool reports.

Right-wing neighborhood watch group Soldiers of Odin (SOO) announced on Facebook that the turned a criminal asylum seeker over to the police in Groningen on Sunday. The police responded to a report and found a beaten up man at the scene. So far no arrests were made.

Reports of sexual abuse in schools are increasing, the Education Inspectorate announced on Wednesday. A total of 112 reports were received in the 2014/2015 school year, compared to 86 reports in the previous year. Dutch parliamentarians are shocked by these figures.

Amsterdam is looking into making all types of sexual harassment, including things like spitting and name calling, punishable. Currently the law only has options to punish some forms of sexual harassment, like stalking and groping.

The COA transferred three men from the emergency asylum shelter in Utrecht to another shelter after a number of Syrian girls accused them of harassment. The Syrian girls were sexually harassed by a group of men from Iran and Afghanistan on at least two occasions over the past few days, Syrian refugees told newspaper AD, adding that the Dutch authorities are slow to respond.
