Frustrated PSV fans tried to storm the main entrance of the Philips Stadium in Eindhoven on Sunday evening, after their team drew 1-1 against FC Twente. The stadium's security initially tried to stop the group, but eventually had to call the riot police for help. Five people were arrested and taken to a police station, NOS reports.

The fans wanted to take out their frustrations over a difficult week following a difficult season on the PSV board, according to the broadcaster.

The riot police were deployed to the Duindorp neighborhood of The Hague on Sunday night. The neighborhood was restless until around midnight, with waste bins being set on fire and a bus stop being vandalized. This was the second night of unrest in Duindorp, NOS reports.

Feyenoord fans were not happy with the 4-0 loss the Rotterdam team suffered in an Eredivisie match against Ajax in Amsterdam on Sunday. Around 300 furious fans gathered at training complex 1908 and pelted the Feyenoord bus with fireworks and glasses as the players returned home, AD reports.

Even before the players arrived back in Rotterdam, there was a lot of angry yelling and shouting, according to the newspaper. Supporters jumped onto a police bus, which drove off with howling sirens, forcing the men to jump off.

A demonstration against the Turkish offensive in northeastern Syria in Rotterdam on Wednesday evening got completely out of hand. Protesters and counter protesters clashed multiple times. Three police officers were injured. A total of 23 of protesters were arrested, the Rotterdam police said on Twitter.

The semi-final match between Ajax and Tottenham Hotspur in the Johan Cruijff Arena, and Ajax's last-second elimination from the Champions League, led to unrest in various places in Amsterdam on Wednesday night. The Amsterdam police arrested a total of around 30 people during the evening, NU.nl reports.

Three persons were arrested after a demonstration by anti-Islam movement Pegida in the Utrecht district of Zuilen on Wednesday evening. Towards the end of the demonstration, the situation became unsettled and there were various vandalism incidents. The detainees were counter-protesters, RTV Utrecht reports.

A handful of Pegida supporters gathered at the Abi Bakr Issidik mosque around 7:00 p.m., where they watched a film about Islam in a cordoned off area. A group of opponents gathered outside the fences.

The police cleared protesting students out of the University of Amsterdam's P.C. Hoofdhuis building on Friday evening. A total of 30 students were arrested for trespassing - they were not allowed inside the building. All of them were released from custody again on Saturday evening, NU.nl reports.

The police arrested 11 people during and after a demonstration by anti-Islam movement Pegida in Amsterdam on Sunday afternoon. According to the police, the demonstration was "relatively calm" and nobody was injured.

Around 25 to 30 Pegida supporters gathered at the Stopera and started marching towards Frederiksplein around 1:30 p.m. A group of 40 to 50 people, belonging to movement Laat Ze Niet Lopen among others, gave a counter demonstration. The riot police kept the two groups apart.

A 22-year-old man was killed in a shooting in the Venlo neighborhood of Blerick on Wednesday afternoon. A 21-year-old man from Tegelen was arrested. Following the shooting, angry local residents took to the streets and started throwing stones and sticks at the police. The riot police had to intervene, AD reports.

The shooting incident started on Diependijkstraat around 1:30 p.m., according to the police. The victim was found on Nieuwborgstraat.

A riot police van hit a Feyenoord fan on the Coolsingel on Sunday, leaving him with a broken leg. A bystander recorded the incident.

The video was filmed on te Coolsingel, at De Bijenkorf department store, according to AD. It shows riot police units responding to riots that broke out after Feyenoord lost to Excelsior. The unlucky Feyenoord fan did not see the van coming up behind him, and gets hit on the heel. A snap can be heard and the man collapses.

The Rotterdam police arrested 18 people during and after a match between Feyenoord and Ajax on Sunday. They were arrested on suspicion of crimes including insult, threats, vandalism and throwing fireworks, a spokesperson for the police told RTL Nieuws. Ajax won the match in the Amsterdam ArenA 2-1.

Feyenoord supporters followed the match on big screens on and around the square in Rotterdam. The police and riot police intervened several times after officers, journalists and camera crews were pelted with beer, stones, fireworks and other objects.

On Sunday night the police were forced to intervene in a demonstration by about 250 Turkish-Dutch in Amsterdam. Mayor Eberhard van der Laan put the demonstration to an early end around 10:45 p.m. due to disruptions of public order and traffic, the municipality announced. Riot police units were deployed and eventually chased the demonstrators home using water cannons, AD reports.

A politically turbulent day between Turkey and the Netherlands ended with the riot police clashing with Dutch-Turkish protesters at the Turkish consulate in Rotterdam on Saturday night and during the early hours of Sunday morning, NOS reports. 

Saturday started off turbulent with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu saying that the Netherlands is holding Dutch-Turks hostage by not allowing Turkish ministers to attend campaign meetings in the Netherlands on a referendum to be held in Turkey next month. He also threatened the Netherlands with sanctions

Thousands of people gathered on the Malieveld in The Hague on Wednesday afternoon for a Holland against Hate demonstration against American president Donald Trump. The initiators want the protest to show that the Netherlands is against Trump's "xenophobic policy" of closing the United States borders to people from seven Muslim countries. They also hope to convince the Dutch government to send the same signal. Many politicians were also part of the demonstration, NOS reports.

The Netherlands' entered 2017 without any major problems. There were a number minor clashes between police and party goers, but not massive incidents. Emergency services throughout the country had to deal with young people pelting fireworks at them during the course of their duties. 

A police officer in The Hague was seriously injured after being hit by a car. But according to the police, this was an accident - there is no sign of intent, according to the Volkskrant.

An emergency decree was proclaimed in the Brabant town of Heesch on Monday night after anti-asylum protesters started pelting the police with fireworks, stones and eggs. The demonstration ended with the riot police intervening and forcing everyone to go home. Three people were arrested. No one was injured.
