Wanted fugitive Ridouan Taghi ordered outlaw motorcycle gang Caloh Wagoh to commit murders on his behalf, the Public Prosecutor said on Friday in a proforma hearing against members of the biker gang.

With that statement, the Public Prosecutor linked two of the biggest murder cases currently ongoing in the Netherlands.

The police believe that a white delivery van was used as a getaway car after the murder of lawyer Derk Wiersum outside his home on Imstenrade in Amsterdam. Witness statements and video footage showed a white vehicle "similar to a Fiat Doblo" driving away from the area immediately after Wiersum was gunned down on Sepember 18th, the police said on Sunday.

The police are still no closer to catching the man who gunned down defense lawyer Derk Wiersum in front of his home in the Buitenveldert neighborhood of Amsterdam last week Wednesday. On Opsporing Verzocht on Tuesday, the police called on witnesses to come forward, especially people who noticed anything out of the ordinary in the neighborhood in the weeks before the shooting.

Fugitive Ridouan Taghi has been linked to two more murders, three attempted killings and ordering an attack on a spy shop in Nieuwegein, was revealed in a proforma hearing on Tuesday. The criminal group led by Taghi is now suspected of at least nine assassinations and a whole series of attempted murders and never executed murder plans, Het Parool reports.

Minister Ferdinand Grapperhaus of Justice and Security is looking for more money to push into the fight against organized crime, he said on Thursday morning, one day after defense attorney Derk Wiersum was assassinated outside of his Amsterdam Home. "If we really want to achieve success over organized crime, we have to take an extra step", Grapperhaus said, Het Parool reports. "More than we have done so far, also if it means extra resources."

The Public Prosecution Service will keep using key witnesses, even after the murder of criminal law attorney Derk Wiersum in Amsterdam on Wednesday morning. "We must continue to use the means of key witnesses, otherwise we will get no further in criminal cases. Continue in a motivated way", prosecutor Fred Westerbeke said to Nieuwsuur. He wants more options in the use of such suspects-turned-informants.

Criminal law attorney Derk Wiersum was standing next to his wife when he was gunned down near their home on Imstenrade in Amsterdam Zuid on Wednesday morning. The woman was not physically injured in the attack that killed her husband. "There are no further victims", a police spokesperson said to Het Parool. Wiersum is survived by his wife and two school-aged children.

Ridouan Taghi, currently the most wanted fugitive in the Netherlands, is almost certainly hiding in Dubai, newspaper De Telegraaf writes based on sources within the Public Prosecution Service. The police and judiciary are convinced that the net is closing around Taghi, the newspaper writes.

The police released new sketches of wanted fugitives Ridouan Taghi and Said Razzouki on Opsporing Verzocht on Tuesday. The sketches are aged show what the two fugitives may look like today. The police call on Dutch holidaying abroad to keep an eye out for the two, who are wanted for at least five assassinations in the Netherlands.

Fugitive criminal Ridouan Taghi denies that he put crime writer Pieter R. de Vries on a hit list. In a personal message to De Vries, the wanted criminal said that doesn't have anything against De Vries and that the crime reporter can go wherever he wants, De Vries reported on witter.

"I am relieved and I am inclined to believe this", De Vries said, according to NU.nl. There's no way to check that the message really came from Taghi himself, but De Vries believes it does.

Crime reporter Pieter R. de Vries said on Tuesday that he is on the hit list of still fugitive criminal Ridouan Taghi. According to De Vries, Taghi wants him murdered because of statements he made about the man, he said to the Telegraaf.

"The only thing I can do now is to publicize this", De Vries said to the newspaper. He hopes to soon get more information from the criminal environment, he said.

The Public Prosecution Service made a huge blunder. A photo of the most important key witness in the case against Ridouan Taghi, the most wanted criminal in the Netherlands, ended up in the criminal files of all suspects around Taghi, the Prosecutor confirmed to RTL Nieuws after reports in the Telegraaf. 

The police photo of Nabil B. ended up in the files of suspects who are on trail on Thursday for involvement in multiple underworld assassinations. The main suspect in the case is fugitive Ridouan Taghi.

The Amsterdam police arrested suspects at various locations on Monday morning in the ongoing investigation into an attack on the building housing newspaper De Telegraaf in June last year. More details will be released during the course of the day, the police said on Twitter.

The police and Public Prosecutor misjudged the risks involved for the family of key witness Nabil B., they admitted for the first time in interviews with four Dutch newspapers. "Our assessment was not such that we suspected an assassination", the Public Prosecutor said to the Telegraaf. "In retrospect you can say that this assessment was not correct."

The court sentenced 40-year-old Shurandy S. to 20 years in prison for murdering Reduan B., brother of key witness Nabil B. The judge considered it conclusively proven that S. gunned down the innocent man at his business in Amsterdam on March 29th last year, RTL Nieuws reports.

The Public Prosecutor's key witness Nabil B. made statements about at least 12 assassinations or attempts thereto, linking wanted criminal Ridouan Taghi's organization to most of these crimes, sources told the Telegraaf.

This is the first time ever that one key witness linked one person to so many crimes, according to the newspaper.

The Public Prosecutor made a deal with a second suspect in one of the multiple gangland assassinations in Amsterdam and Utrecht to turn key witness. Tony de G., a 34-year-old suspect in the murder of Amsterdam criminal Jair Wessels, made statements against people involved in the criminal underworld, Het Parool reports.
