Most bisexuals in the Netherlands feel no need to come out of the closet, calling doing so artificial, forced and irrelevant. They find bisexuality an important, but not all-embracing part of their life that does not need to be emphasized, according to a study with which social geographer Emile Maliepaard will get his PhD at Radboud University in Nijmegen next week, ANP reports.

Four percent of Dutch live a "bisexual life". And 15 percent of Dutch have feelings for both men and women. According to the university, this is the first study ever done into the daily life of bisexuals.

Over the past decades there's been a "dramatic" decline in the number of ground beetles and moths in two nature reserves in the Netherlands, according to Natuurmonumenten. The number of ground beetles declined by 72 percent in Wijster in Drenthe over the past 22 years, and the number of moths by 54 percent in Kaaistoep in Noord-Brabant over the past 20 years, NU.nl reports.

While the government is still working on plans for longer paternity leave, Dutch companies are taking the lead in this field. More and more businesses in the Netherlands are offering new fathers more paid leave when their child is born, BNR reports.

The coalition agreement for the Rutte III government states that paid paternity leave will increase from two days to five days from 2019 onwards. But a number of Dutch businesses are deciding not to wait for that.

Online games advertising food make children eat more, according to a study done by Frans Folkvord, a behavioral scientist at Radboud University. Kids who played an online game with food advertisement hidden in it ate 55 percent more of the offered sweets than the kids who played games advertising toys.
