The Spanish police arrested a 36-year-old Dutch man near the city of Malaga on suspicion that he ordered multiple murders in the Netherlands. Two of the murders were actually committed in 2017, the others were prevented, according to the local police, NU.nl reports.

A spokesperson for the Public Prosecution Service in The Hague confirmed to NU.nl that it issued an arrest warrant, and that a Dutch person was arrested in Spain as part of an ongoing investigation. Further details about his identity and what crimes he is suspected of, the Prosecutor could not share yet.

As linesman for Haarlem football club Geel-Wit, the man punched the goalkeeper of football club UNO in the head during a match on March 30th. The goalkeeper lost consciousness and sustained a concussion, NU.nl reports.

A doctor is standing trial in the court of The Hague on Monday for performing euthanasia on a patient with advanced dementia. While doctors have been reprimanded or warned by the disciplinary court in the past, this is the first time since the euthanasia law was implemented in 2002 that the Public Prosecutor considered it necessary to bring someone to criminal court, NOS reports.

A 16-year-old boy suspected of stabbing a 15-year-old girl to death in a Breda home on Monday was remanded to 14 days in custody by the court in Breda during his arraignment on Thursday. The Public Prosecutor suspects the boy of murder or manslaughter, AD reports.

The girl, identified as Megan by local media, was stabbed stabbed in a home on Bilderdijkstraat in Breda, where she lived with her mother. Despite emergency services' attempts to resuscitate her, she died at the scene.

Four suspects from Amersfoort and Zeist are being prosecuted for organizing at least five dog fights in Amersfoort, Soest and Emmen. In the summons against them, the Public Prosecution Service describe the four as a criminal organization, Nieuwsuur reports based on the summons.

The Public Prosecution Service is not displeased that Minister Grapperhaus of Justice and Security is meeting with the Prime Minister of Thailand to see if he can get Dutch coffeeshop owner Johan van Laarhoven extradited to the Netherlands, the Prosecutor said in a statement. Van Laarhoven is currently serving a prison sentence of 103 years in Thailand.

A 31-year-old taxi driver from Amsterdam was sentenced to 3 years in prison, one of which conditionally suspended, for dealing in drugs and firearms on the dark web. The sentence issued by the court of Rotterdam was one year shorter than what the Public Prosecutor demanded, Het Parool reports.

The court considered it proven that the man sold at least nine firearms, hundreds of ecstasy pills, over an ounce of cannabis and nearly 20 grams of cocaine on the dark web.

In the first half of 2019 the Rijksrechreche investigated seven police-involved shootings. In these shootings, three people were killed and four were wounded. In all of 2018 there were 27 police shootings with 26 injuries and three fatalities, the Public Prosecutor announced on Monday.

Two childminders from Brunssum were again arrested for the death of a 5-month-old baby that was in their care in October 2017. Their arrests were prompted by the final report on the cause of the baby's death, the Public Prosecution Service said to 1Limburg.

"We are still studying [the report], but it gave us enough reason to arrest both people again", a Public Prosecution spokesperson said to 1Limburg. He would not say what the report contained.

The police and Public Prosecution Service released a joint statement denying that the arrest of Amsterdam mayor Femke Halsema's 15-year-old son was kept quiet or covered up. The boy has not been charged with burglary, but did have a fake weapon with him when he was arrested last month, lawyer Peter Plasman, who is representing the boy, said in an interview with newspaper AD.

The man was acquitted of killing Sabrina Oosterbeek and Moinque Roossien. Bart B., a 56-year-old man suspected of the murder of his partner Miranda Zitman, claims that the woman's death was an accident. In a proforma hearing on Monday, he told the court that he found her dead at the bottom of the stairs in their home and then cut her body into pieces and hid the body parts, NU.nl reports.

The police confiscated flyers handed out by pedophile group Kinderbevrijdingsfront during the Pride Walk in Amsterdam on Saturday. According to the police, the flyers were seized because of bystanders' severely upset reactions to them. "This man handed out flyers in the Vondelpark and the organization of the Pride Walk did not want that", a police spokesperson said to Het Parool.
