The last Peilingwijzer of the year shows that Geert Wilders and his anti-Islam PVV is facing increasing competition from new nationalist party FvD led by Thierry Baudet. The FvD leader was also named politician of the year by EenVandaag on Tuesday.
A judge in Overijssel was reprimanded and had her Twitter account suspended after she responded to EenVandaag naming PVV leader Geert Wilders politician of the year with the word: "Knettergek", which loosely translates to "madness" in English.
The court in Overijssel called the tweet a "misplaced remark" and announced that the judge in question will no longer be tweeting on her own initiative. Judge Syliva Taalman was active under the Twitter account @iRechter for years, according to NOS. She used the account to show people what working as a judge is like.
Geert Wilders was named the Netherlands' politician of the year for 2015 in EenVandaag's annual election. The PVV leader received 25 percent of the 37 thousand votes. GroenLinks leader Jesse Klaver came in second place with 14 percent of the votes and Finance Minister Jeroen Dijsselbloem (PvdA) came in third with 9 percent.
