An air ambulance with an injured person on board was forced to make a detour just before landing in Enschede. A drone was suddenly flying in the helicopter's way. The police called this a life-threatening situation, RTV Oost reports.
The helicopter was on its way to the Medisch Spectrum Twente when a fairly large drone suddenly appeared. "The helicopter had to make a turn in order to land properly and a drone was suddenly flying right there. A collision was only barely prevented", the police said to the broadcaster. It is illegal to fly drones near hospitals.

From Monday it is illegal in the Netherlands to use your smartphone while cycling. Those caught texting while biking will face a fine of 95 euros. The goal of this ban is to increase traffic safety by decreasing distractions.

Police in Amsterdam were looking for any witnesses to a violent incident on metro line 50 when a gun was pulled out and pointed at someone’s head during an argument between passengers. The incident happened at about 4:40 p.m. inside a subway train bound for Gein.
Authorities say it all started when two men entered a metro car together behind a third man at the Sloterdijk station. The two men harassed several women in the subway, police said, including one who was seated opposite the third man. He spoke up in defense of the women.

An arrest was made on Tuesday connected to two false reports of a hand grenade at the Mad Fox club. Calls to police were made on March 6 and April 5 with phones or phone numbers that were used just once, according to broadcaster AT5.

The Dutch and British police arrested a total of six suspects on Tuesday in an investigation into the theft of at least 24 million euros in cryptocurrency, EU agency Eurojust, who helped in the investigation, announced. According to the agency, the suspects stole bitcoin from at least four thousand victims in 12 different countries.

A 7-year-old boy drowned in a pond in the Overijssel village of Overdinkel on Tuesday evening. First responders tried to resuscitate the child, but it was to no avail.
Emergency services responded to the pond on Elferinksweg just after 9:00 p.m. after receiving a report of a drowning, AD reports. The boy was taken out of the water and paramedics tried to revive him. But it was too late. He died at at the scene.
How the boy ended up in the water is not clear.
An autopsy performed on the body of Anja Schaap did not rule ot that she was killed in a crime, the police said on Monday. The 33-year-old woman disappeared from Katwijk on May 29th. Her body was found in the North Sea, off the coast of the Wadden Islands, nearly three weeks later.
Amsterdam is giving a task force established to combat violence and threats against business owners one year to come up with measures to combat this problem. The time limit is necessary because the number of ATM bombings and incidents involving hand grenades increased since last year. Police released frightful security camera footage showing the explosion and aftermath at an Amsterdam subway station in March. The blast was part of a robbery attempt at an ATM inside the Ganzenhoef subway station in Amsterdam Zuidoost.

The naked body of a woman was found in a meadow near Westdorpe in Zeeland on Saturday. Given the injuries on the body, the police believe the victim was murdered. Investigators call on the public's help to identify the victim.
A passerby found the remains in a meadow on Sint Anthoniekade, near the border with Belgium, at around noon on Saturday. Forensic investigation was conducted at the scene on Saturday. A helicopter was used to take aerial photographs of the scene.
The police posted a scathing message on Facebook condemning bystanders who hindered first responders in their attempt to save a woman's life in Vlissingen on Thursday. A 17-year-old boy was arrested during the early hours of Friday morning after he crashed a stolen car into a police vehicle on Zeeburgerdijk in Amsterdam. He is facing charges of attempted murder or manslaughter, the Amsterdam police said on Twitter.
Police officers started chasing the stolen car from Van Baerlestraat in Amsterdam Zuid at around 3:30 a.m. On Zeeburgerdijk, the teenager crashed the stolen car into a police vehicle.
The boy "vehemently" resisted arrest, the police said.
A 16-year-old boy was stabbed at a secondary school on President Rooseveltweg in Rotterdam on Thursday. According to the police, he was conscious and talking when he was taken to hospital. Three underage boys were arrested.
