Anouk van Luijk has been missing on Cuba for several days. The 19-year-old woman from Hellevoetsluis was supposed to fly back to the Netherlands on Saturday, but never showed up for her flight. Her family hasn't heard from her since Saturday, her father Wim van Luijk said in a Facebook post, that has since been shared nearly 8 thousand times.

A 34-year-old Dutch tourist died after being beaten up by a group of five young people near Palma on the Spanish island of Mallorca. The Spanish police are investigating this as a murder and are looking for the perpetrators, ANP reports.

The Dutch tourist was attacked and beaten unconscious near a petrol station to the north of the city's airport at around 5:00 a.m. on Friday. Emergency workers rushed the victim to the Academic Hospital Son Espases, where the he died of his injuries.

It is expected that later this year a decision will be made about the early release of Dutch-Surinamese man Jaitsen Singh, who has been in prison in the United States for 34 years. There is a chance that he was unjustly convicted of the murders of his wife and daughter, ANP reports.

Minister Stef Blok of Foreign Affairs said that the Netherlands expressed its support for an early release on humanitarian grounds. Singh is getting consular assistance from the Netherlands.

Two Dutch people were killed in a traffic accident in the United States state of Oregon, the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed. A third person in the car with them also died. His nationality has not yet been confirmed, NOS reports.

The three people were driving near the town of Salem when their car was hit from behind by a pick-up truck. They then crashed into another car. 

According to KATU News, the accident happened on Thursday. The victims died from their injuries over the weekend.

A 22-year-old Dutch woman is in prison in the Kurdish part of Iraq along with her 5-month old baby and her father. The Kurdish authorities suspect the woman of terrorism, the family's lawyer Taner Sen confirmed to RTL Nieuws after reports by NOS.

According to the lawyer, the woman and her father will appear before a judge on Wednesday.

The Netherlands and Australia hold Russia accountable for "its share in the downing of flight MH17". Both countries informed Russia about this step, the Dutch government announced in a statement on Friday. 

This decision follows the Joint Investigation Team announcing on Thursday that the BUK missile system used to shoot down flight MH17 over eastern Ukraine on July 17th, 2014, came from the 53rd Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces.

A Dutch person in custody in Iraq is serving an 8 years long prison sentence for terrorism. When exactly this person was sentenced is not known, ANP reports.

On Wednesday the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that one Dutch person is in custody in Iraq, but revealed no further details about it. He is receiving consular assistance for the Dutch consulate in the Iraqi-Kurdish city of Arbil, according to the Ministry.

Thousands of people are in custody in Iraq on suspicion of terrorism. On Tuesday a Belgian jihadist was sentenced to death in Baghdad for belonging to a terrorist organization. His hearing lasted only 10 minutes, according to Nieuwsuur.

The Netherlands does not recognize the outcome of the elections held in Venezuela over the weekend, in which leftist president Nicolas Maduro was re-elected. "They were not free and independent elections", Minister Stef Blok of Foreign Affairs said to the Tweede Kamer, the lower house of Dutch parliament, RTL Nieuws reports.
