The Spanish police arrested an alleged Dutch criminal organization for drug trafficking in Alicante. Four Dutch men between the ages of 44 and 56 were arrested for possessing more than 100 kilograms of cannabis, 550 cannabis plants, a firearm and large sums of money, RTL Nieuws reports based on reports in Spanish media.
The partner of Amsterdam mayor Femke Halsema was formally questioned in connection with the ownership of a deactivated German revolver, according to newspapers Telegraaf and AD. Robert Oey was considered a crime suspect for the purpose of the interview, a spokesperson told the Telegraaf.
A spokesperson for the public prosecution service in Haarlem said the official interview was planned after Oey said the gun which led to the arrest of his and Halsema’s son was actually his.
Two police officers are suspects in a criminal investigation into an organized network involved in large-scale cannabis cultivation and trade in Almelo. They are accused of violating their official confidentiality and belonging to a criminal organization. Both officers have been suspended, ANP reports.

Two suspects were arrested that same day, suspected of involvement in the drug lab. Over 200 thousand ecstasy pills were found in the home.
A 14-year-old girl from Almere died on Monday from a gunshot wound she sustained in her home on Friday, the Public Prosecutor said. Two men were arrested in connection with the shooting. According to the Telegraaf, the suspects are the girl's father and brother.
