The university found "behaviors that TU Delft does not consider acceptable" in a student house where aspiring DSC member slept. This included a 'sleeping with the fishes' prank, in which spoiled fish were left in aspiring members' bedrooms, AD reports.
The HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht and Utrecht University decided to suspend their contributions to female student association UVSV in response to a number of incidents during hazing, NU.nl reports.
Bored soldiers at the Oranje barracks in Schaarsbergen regularly entertained themselves with drugs, alcohol and even prostitutes, according to a confidential Defense report from 2015, which the Volkskrant has in its possession.

He was also given a 31 day prison sentence, 30 of which conditionally suspended, and must pay 5,066 euros in compensation to the victim, RTL Nieuws reports.
The Public Prosecutor demanded 180 hours of community service and a 90 days suspended prison sentence.

A student who sustained a brain injury during hazing at the Groningen student association Vindicat decided to file charges against the association, the Public Prosecutor announced, RTL Nieuws reports.

The municipality of Groningen, the University of Groningen (RUG) and the Hanze University Groningen wants to completely ban hazing in student associations, they said in a joint statement.
Groningen student association Vindicat makes all prospective members sign a contract in which they promise not to say anything about hazing, according to NOS who has the contract in hand. If students fail to do so, they face a fine of 25 thousand euros. The contract also states that Vindicat is not liable for any damages.
An aspiring member of Groningen student association Vindicat ended up in hospital after he was hit on the head during hazing, the rector of the association confirmed to NRC. Rector Stijn Derksen called it a "regrettable incident" and said that the University of Groningen was informed.
