On a beautiful summer evening in Faro, southern Portugal,  the Dutch team seemed to finally break with a nasty habit on Wednesday. Team Orange was in Faro on its way to its second win in 12 meetings with Portugal, until Cristiano Ronaldo scored the equalizer in the 87th minute.

Despite the disappointment of that late hit, team Orange can be reasonably satisfied a year for the World Cup. The young team played disciplined and mature, even when it was challenged by the Portuguese. So it was a real contest in the south of Portugal

The 14 members of Leefbaar Rotterdam in the council will vote on Thursday unanimously against the construction. Jong Oranje’s Bram Nuytinck is going back to the Netherlands after sustaining a knee injury during the final Group B match against Spain in the UEFA European Under-21 Championship, leaving the Dutch team with one player out.
Nuytinck’s MRI scan result showed potential left knee damage. With this reason, he cannot go on with with the tournament. He will return to the Netherlands for additional examinations and medical management at his club.
Coach Cor Pot said: "This is a real setback. It was already difficult for me with the [reserve] role I had, and to go home earlier makes it even harder. On the other hand I do not want to take any risks regarding preparations for next season with Anderlecht.
The 23-year-old RSC Anderlecht captain said that he will come back to his club for further tests. He hopes the best for his teammates in their match against Italy. He is confident his team members will reach the final.

On Monday, about 3,000 people attended the benefit concert for SC Veendam, which was organized by the soccer team from the Jupiler League. The team expects to raise thousands of euros for the club.

This club from Groningen was declared bankrupt last week and SC Veendam only had 8 days to appeal. On Tuesday afternoon, the club will need 675,000 euro to turn back the bankruptcy into a moratorium on payments.

By Saturday, 225,000 euro has been raised and it may have already increased at present.
