The driver of the monster truck that crashed into a crowd of spectators Sunday afternoon is still being held in police custody two days later, according to newswire ANP. Three people died in the accident that left 40 others injured, five of whom are in critical condition.

Dozens of adults and children were injured Sunday at an automotive event when a driver lost control of his monster truck, crashing into the attendees gathered at the function in Haaksbergen, Overijssel. Local news agency JouwHaaksbergen.nl says one bystander has died, though at one witness at the scene say that at least two people are dead, and another had severe lacerations to the face.

Train stations in The Netherlands will start keeping entry gates closed at busy stations in phases. The first phase will begin in August for Woerden, Rotterdam Alexander, Almere center and Enschede, which are the cities in which the testing for ov-chip cards to replace train tickets has been successful.
