A disturbing discovery was made in the Zuid-Holland town of Oegstgeest during the early hours of Friday morning. Several dead animals were found lying on President Kennedylaan, the Leiden Noord police said on Facebook.
The police responded to reports of dead animals around 2:55 a.m. At the scene they found a rooster, a chicken and a dog lying in what looked to be a trial. They were all frozen for later cremation and came from the freezer of a nearby animal clinic, according to the police.

Multiple police officers and police dogs arrested 20 people for a massive brawl at a gas station in Ypenurg, The Hague over the weekend, AD reports.
The fight started when people on a party bus started quarreling with a man filling his car with gas. The quarrel escalated into a brawl. The fight moved into the gas station's store, causing quite a bit of damage. An unidentified man in a red coat got involved briefly, but ran away to avoid being beaten up.
The police arrested 20 brawlers. Investigators are looking fo the man in the red coat and other witnesses.
One person was killed in a shooting in a parking lot on Sylvain Poonsstraat in The Hague shortly before midnight on Monday. The police are searching for the perpetrators, who may have fled in a car. As far as is known, no arrests were made so far.
A witness told Den Haag FM that the victim is in a car on the parking lot. Windows of two cars, parked next to each other, were shot out. The side window of a green car is shattered, as is the back window of a black car parked next to it.

A wheelchair bound woman was attacked with a corrosive liquid on Jacob Catssingel in Breda on Friday afternoon. The woman told the police that two men on a scooter followed her from a park around 1:00 p.m. and threw the liquid over her, Omroep Brabant reports.

A 46-year-old man woke up wounded on the street in Terneuzen on Tuesday night with no idea what happened to him. The police are looking for witnesses.

On Tuesday evening two police officers and a photographer in Weert fell ill after investigating dumped barrels of drugs-waste. They were suffering from stinging eyes and irritated airways and were taken to hospital, a police spokesperson said to AD.
A number of 200 liter barrels and about ten 50 liter barrels were found on Driehoeksweg. It is believed that several of these barrels leaked. Exactly what substances are in the barrels is still unclear.

A 16-year-old girl was hit by a tram at the intersection of Burgemeesteer Van Leeuwenlaan and Burgemeester Roellstraat in Slotermeer, Amsterdam on Monday afternoon. She died at the scene, Het Parool reports.
The accident happened around 1:40 p.m. Bystanders report that the girl was dragged a couple of meters by the tram.
Local residents told AT5 that they've repeatedly sounded the alarm about the dangerous situation at the intersection, but so far their warnings were ignored.
An Eindhoven bus driver who had a corrosive liquid thrown in his face while on duty late in January, is doing well and is back at work, his employer said to Omroep Brabant. "He was home for a while, but is back at work now. He sustained no permanent injury", the employer said to the broadcaster.
The Zwolle police are investigating a possible kidnapping in the city on Wednesday evening and are looking for witnesses. Around 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday a witness saw a young man being forced into a dark van. The victim asked for help just before this happened, the police said in a statement on Thursday evening.
