A man from Schiedam was remanded to 30 days in custody on Tuesday. He was arrested earlier this month for threatening to commit a terrorist attack following the death of PVV city councilor in The Hague Willie Dille, ANP reports.
Police officers responding to a fight at a party in the Rode Dorp neighborhood in Deventer on Saturday night were pelted with stones, beer bottles and eggs, spat at and insulted. Two men were arrested, a third is still at large, the police said in a statement.
The police first responded to Enkdwarsstraat. There a 38-year-old man from Zwolle was arrested for repeatedly causing disruptions at local residents' homes.
A 27-year-old man was sentenced to two years in prison, six months conditionally suspended, for attempted manslaughter and aggravated assault by the court in Amsterdam. He was part of a group of four who attacked two homosexual men on the Damrak in Amsterdam in June last year, NOS reports.
The As-Soennah mosque in The Hague wants the authorities to do an in-depth investigation into the death of PVV city councilor Willie Dille. Such an investigation is in the interest of Dutch society and can help prevent further polarization, mosque chairman Abdelhaid Taheri said to newspaper AD.
"In the interests of solidarity and because of the unrest that has arisen, it is important that there is a large investigation into whether her accusations are true or not", Taheri said.
Saturday night was a "grim night" in Rotterdam, the Rotterdam police said on Twitter. A total of 12 people were arrested for various offenses on Saturday night and during the early hours of Sunday morning.
Arrests were made for public intoxication, vandalism and assault, among other things.
"Three people were so annoying" that police officers had to use pepper spray on them to get them under control.
Mayor Pauline Krikke of The Hague is meeting with the top of the police and Public Prosecution Service on Friday about the death of PVV city councilor Willie Dille. "We will sit down an then look again at what the situation is", Krikke, who cut her vacation short and returned to The Hague after Dille's death, said to RTL Nieuws.

A motorist tried to hit a enforcement officer in Den Bosch with his car shortly after he was fined for illegal parking. The municipality's enforcement officer managed to get out of the way in time and was not hurt, ANP reports.
The officer "miraculously" managed to jump out of the way just in time as the car came at him at high speed, the police said.
The Hague city councilor Willie Dille committed suicide on Wednesday, newspaper AD reports based on sources.
Earlier on Wednesday Dille posted a video on Facebook in which she claimed that she was kidnapped, raped and assaulted by a group of Muslim people on March 15th last year - the day of the municipal elections. The perpetrators wanted her to keep quiet in the city council, Dille said.

An elderly couple were locked into the basement when robbers forced their way into their home in Susteren during the early hours of Monday morning. Zischa Vergooszen (77) managed to open the wooden cellar door by hacking at it for hours with a small knife, while her husband Gerard (82) lay seriously injured on the floor. Their family offered a reward of 5 thousand euros for the tip that leads to the robbers' arrest, 1Limburg reports.
Michael P. was convicted of raping and murdering 25-year-old Anne Faber from Utrecht. He was sentenced to 28 years in prison on Tuesday, with compulsary institutionalized psychiatric treatment. A 47-year-old woman was assaulted in Westerpark, near Westergasterrein, at around 10:45 p.m. on July 4th. The police are looking for witnesses.
The woman was sitting on a park bench at around 10:30 p.m. when she noticed a man acting strangely. He walked close by her multiple times, apparently looking for something. He walked away and returned several times. The victim decided to go home, not trusting the situation.
Armin N., one of a group of Dutch men who assaulted a waiter in Prague in April, expressed his apologies to both the waiter and the Netherlands in a letter. He wants to financially support the waiter until he is back on his feet, N. said to newspaper AD from his cell in Prague.
The police arrested a 26-year-old man from Steenbergen on Sunday morning on suspicion of assaulting his pregnant wife.
According to the police, while under the influence of alcohol, the man threw his wife to the ground, jumped on her belly, and punched her in the face multiple times.
The pregnant woman was taken to hospital. Her current condition, and that of her child, is unknown.
The man was taken to a police station for questioning.

The Public Prosecutor demanded 28 years in prison and forced institutionalized psychiatric treatment against Michael P. for raping and killing 25-year-old Anne Faber. "It is unacceptable what agony she must have endured", the Prosecutor said in court on Tuesday, NOS reports. "The fear she must have felt defies all imagination."
