A woman and her dog were killed in a hit-and-run accident on Gordelweg in Rotterdam-Noord on Monday evening. The woman was walking her dog. They were hit by a car when they crossed the road, RTL Nieuws reports.
Emergency services tried to resuscitate the woman, but it was to no avail. She died at the scene. Her dog also did not survive the accident.

Dutch actress Imanuelle Grives was arrested in Belgium over the weekend for possession of drugs. She was taken into custody at the entrance of the Tomorrowland festival near the village of Boom, after the entry check found different types of hard and soft drugs on her. According to the Public Prosecutor, she had more drugs in her possession than could be reasonable for own use, NOS reports.
A 53-year-old employee of the Public Prosecution Service in The Hague was arrested in Germany on June 18th on suspicion of drug trafficking. She is suspected of smuggling two kilograms of cocaine, 6 kilograms of amphetamine, and 10 thousand ecstasy pills into the country, the German Public Prosecutor confirmed to AD.

A man with 68 thousand euros in cash on him jumped into the Maas river in Rotterdam while trying to get away from the police on Thursday morning, the Rotterdam police said on Twitter.
According to the police, officers addressed the man because he showed suspicious behavior. He could not explain why he had so much cash on him.
"What do you do if you have 68 thousand euros in your pocket, cannot explain this and have the police right in front of you? A man on Prins Hendrikkade only saw one way out", the police tweeted. "With the money, he jumped into the water."
The police discovered a drub lab on wheels in Zevenaar following a tip. Inside a small delivery truck, officers found barrels, drain hoses, masks and a large production boiler, the Zevenaar police said on Twitter.
