The police confiscated a massive 5,856 bottles of beer from an empty building in Rotterdam on Tuesday. Three police vans were needed to drive the 244 boxes full of - believed to be stolen - beer away from the building, the Charlois police said on Instagram.

Police officers saw men dragging the large amount of boxes into the empty building on Hilledijk during the early hours of Tuesday morning, according to AD. They spoke to the men and became suspicious that the very many bottles of Heineken had been stolen. One suspect was arrested.

A woman and a child were found dead in a home on Martin Luther Kinglaan in Diemen on Friday, the Public Prosecutor announced on Tuesday. The police arrested a 48-year-old man, the tenant of the home.

According to AT5, the victims are a mother and her newborn baby. The police initially did not think that the mother and child were killed in a crime, but now have strong indications that this was the case, the Amsterdam broadcaster writes.

Police in Purmerend say one man was arrested after a dead body was found in an apartment there.  Several investigative units were called to the scene on Burgemeester D. Kooimanweg, including forensic evidence team, police said.

The body was found on Monday morning in the Noord-Holland town under “suspicious circumstances,” police said without elaborating. An apartment in the De Beemster complex was the focus of the investigation.

No information about the victim, the suspect, or their relationship was revealed as of early Monday afternoon.

The police arrested a suspect in connection with two bodies found in a home on Julianalaan in Hengelo on Monday morning. Investigators assume they were killed in a crime. The victims are a man and woman who lived in the house and the arrested suspect is their youngest son, AD reports based on sources.

A car crashed into a terrace on Keizerstraat in Deventer on Sunday morning, injuring five people. The motorist fled the scene, but later turned himself in and was arrested. The police believe the crash was deliberate. 

The emergency services responded to the scene at around 5:30 a.m., after a report that an Audi Q7 crashed into a terrace and then drove off. Five people were injured. Four of them were taken to hospital. The fifth's injuries could be treated at the scene.

On Thursday the police arrested a second suspect in the investigation into the family found living in a hidden room on a farm in Ruinerwold. The suspect is the father of the family, 67-year-old Gert Jan van D. He is suspected of depriving his six children of their physical freedom, and assault by harming the health of others, the Drenthe police announced.

A burning car containing multiple jerrycans crashed into a police station in Kerkrade at around 5:00 a.m. on Friday morning. No one was injured, the Limburg police said on Twitter.

The incident happened at the police station on Kerkradersteenweg. The car crashed through the glass entrance of the station, according to RTL Nieuws. At least one jerrycan was on fire and the car may have been pushed into the station, a police spokesperson said to the broadcaster.

The fire was quickly extinguished. The jerrycans were filled with - presumably flammable - liquid.

Around two thousand farmers spent the night in The Hague after a major protest on Wednesday, according to estimates from Farmers Defense Force (FDF), the organizer behind the protest. They slept in caravans, tents or their tractors and ended the overnight protest with a breakfast. Around 300 Hague residents, farmers and journalists attended the breakfast, NOS reports.

A demonstration against the Turkish offensive in northeastern Syria in Rotterdam on Wednesday evening got completely out of hand. Protesters and counter protesters clashed multiple times. Three police officers were injured. A total of 23 of protesters were arrested, the Rotterdam police said on Twitter.

Police in Utrecht arrested two men suspected of involvement in a rash of attempted robberies where heavy explosions were triggered at German cash machines. The pair are also suspected of torching the escape vehicles used in the crimes.

The two men are both from Utrecht, and are 22 and 23 years of age. They first became suspects in the crimes after arrests were made at an attempted robbery and explosion in Heiligenhaus, Germany this past April.

The police discovered a father living with his six children in an 'end of times' bunker on a farm in Ruinerwold. The family, who hasn't seen the outside world for years, was discovered after the oldest son managed to get away on Sunday and went to a local pub for help, RTV Drenthe reports.

The police arrested two men on Tuesday in connection with incidents during a farmers' protest at the Groningen provincial government on Monday. Both men are suspected of public violence, the police said in a statement. That brings the total number of suspects arrested up to three.

On Monday hundreds of farmers went to protest against new rules surrounding nitrogen emissions at eight of the twelve Dutch provincial governments. The protest in Groningen got out of hand.

The provinces of Gelderland, Overijssel and Drenthe followed Friesland's example and announced on Monday that they are reversing the nitrogen measures they announced last week. This happened as hundreds of farmers took their tractors to protest at eight provincial governments. "This is asking for further actions", Jan Brouwer, director of the Center for Public Order and Safety, said to NOS.

A special unit of the German police rescued a 22-year-old Polish woman on Saturday night, after she was abducted from a holiday park in the Netherlands. Three suspects, aged 26, 27 and 32, all from Poland, were arrested, the Dutch police said in a statement.

Violence was used again police officers working the party scene in Roosendaal and Doetinchem during the early hours of Sunday morning. One officer was injured and a total of eight people were arrested.

"Another weekend with excessive and unacceptable violence against colleagues", National Police chief Erik Akerboom said on Twitter. "In Roosendaal and Doetinchem, among others, things went wrong against colleagues 'just' doing their jobs. Local and national measures are once again necessary."

The police arrested a 55-year-old man in his home in Haarlemmermeer on Tuesday on suspicion of child sex tourism, the Public Prosecutor said on Friday.

The man is suspected of sexually abusing multiple minor girls in the Philippines and Thailand and the possession of child pornography, the Prosecutor said. The authorities believe he was about to travel back to the Philippines. "There are no indications that he also abused minors in the Netherlands."

Ronald van Z., a psychiatric prisoner who escaped from a clinic in Nijmegen on Friday, was arrested in an internet cafe in Paris on Wednesday evening, the police said. He is expected to be extradited to the Netherlands in the near future.

Van Z. was convicted of child sex abuse in 2014 and sentenced to institutionalized psychiatric treatment. He was being treated at the Pompekliniek in Nijmigen, from where he escaped while on a supervised bike ride on Friday.

The British police arrested 13 people on Friday in an investigation into drug trafficking from the Netherlands to the United Kingdom. The British and Dutch gang suspected of being behind this operation is believed to have smuggled over 50 tons of drugs from the Netherlands to the United Kingdom, AD reports.

Blockade protests for more action against climate change on Stadhouderskade and elsewhere in Amsterdam on Monday ended at around 9:00 p.m., the Amsterdam police said on Twitter. A total of around 90 people were arrested, around 30 of whom were still in custody on Monday night. The rest were sent home with a fine of 380 euros for not following police orders. On Tuesday the protesters are planning a demonstration in Vondelpark, they said on Twitter.

Around 50 protesters were arrested at a climate blockade on Stadshouderskade near the Rijksmuseum on Monday, the Amsterdam police confirmed to NOS at around 10:15 a.m. The protest for more action to be taken against climate change by action group Extinction Rebellion is still ongoing. The atmosphere is friendly, despite the arrests, three of the protesters said to NL Times.

A 43-year-old man from Amsterdam who was arrested for recording videos with a drone at his hotel in Cairo, has been released, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed. Pieter Bas Habes has been ordered to leave Egypt as quickly as possible, and the Dutch embassy will help him in this. He is doing well, though he needs some time to rest, the Ministry said, NOS reports.

"It is going well and we are very happy", Habes' lawyer said to NOS. The Amsterdam man is expected back in the Netherlands soon. Then more information about his release will be available, the lawyer said.

The Limburg police discovered a massive drug lab in Kerkrade on Monday evening. This is the second largest drug lab ever found in the Netherlands, a spokesperson for the Limburg police said to NU.nl.

The spokesperson called it an "illegal chemical plant" and said that local residents escaped a "disaster", due to a big risk of the lab exploding. The National Dismantling Support Facility is currently helping the police with mapping the laboratory. After that the complex will be dismantled.

Pieter Bas Habes, a 43-year-old man from Amsterdam, disappeared after apparently being arrested in Egypt over a week ago. The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs is doing its "utmost" to find out where he is, the Volkskrant reports.

Hundreds of farmers are gathering in The Hague to protest on Tuesday. So far two farmers were arrested. One for driving his tractor through barricades set up by the police. The other for interfering in the first farmer's arrest, the police said on Twitter. The protest starts on the Malieveld at 1:00 p.m.
