They slept in caravans, tents or their tractors and ended the overnight protest with a breakfast. Around 300 Hague residents, farmers and journalists attended the breakfast, NOS reports.
A demonstration against the Turkish offensive in northeastern Syria in Rotterdam on Wednesday evening got completely out of hand. Protesters and counter protesters clashed multiple times. Three police officers were injured. A total of 23 of protesters were arrested, the Rotterdam police said on Twitter.
Police in Utrecht arrested two men suspected of involvement in a rash of attempted robberies where heavy explosions were triggered at German cash machines. The pair are also suspected of torching the escape vehicles used in the crimes.
The two men are both from Utrecht, and are 22 and 23 years of age. They first became suspects in the crimes after arrests were made at an attempted robbery and explosion in Heiligenhaus, Germany this past April.
The police discovered a father living with his six children in an 'end of times' bunker on a farm in Ruinerwold. The family, who hasn't seen the outside world for years, was discovered after the oldest son managed to get away on Sunday and went to a local pub for help, RTV Drenthe reports.

A special unit of the German police rescued a 22-year-old Polish woman on Saturday night, after she was abducted from a holiday park in the Netherlands. Three suspects, aged 26, 27 and 32, all from Poland, were arrested, the Dutch police said in a statement.

The police arrested a 55-year-old man in his home in Haarlemmermeer on Tuesday on suspicion of child sex tourism, the Public Prosecutor said on Friday.
The man is suspected of sexually abusing multiple minor girls in the Philippines and Thailand and the possession of child pornography, the Prosecutor said. The authorities believe he was about to travel back to the Philippines. "There are no indications that he also abused minors in the Netherlands."
Ronald van Z., a psychiatric prisoner who escaped from a clinic in Nijmegen on Friday, was arrested in an internet cafe in Paris on Wednesday evening, the police said. He is expected to be extradited to the Netherlands in the near future.
Van Z. was convicted of child sex abuse in 2014 and sentenced to institutionalized psychiatric treatment. He was being treated at the Pompekliniek in Nijmigen, from where he escaped while on a supervised bike ride on Friday.

A 43-year-old man from Amsterdam who was arrested for recording videos with a drone at his hotel in Cairo, has been released, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed. Pieter Bas Habes has been ordered to leave Egypt as quickly as possible, and the Dutch embassy will help him in this. He is doing well, though he needs some time to rest, the Ministry said, NOS reports.
"It is going well and we are very happy", Habes' lawyer said to NOS. The Amsterdam man is expected back in the Netherlands soon. Then more information about his release will be available, the lawyer said.
The Limburg police discovered a massive drug lab in Kerkrade on Monday evening. This is the second largest drug lab ever found in the Netherlands, a spokesperson for the Limburg police said to NU.nl.
The spokesperson called it an "illegal chemical plant" and said that local residents escaped a "disaster", due to a big risk of the lab exploding. The National Dismantling Support Facility is currently helping the police with mapping the laboratory. After that the complex will be dismantled.

While searching a warehouse on Piusstraat in Tilburg this week, the police found over 550 thousand euros in cash and large amounts of soft drugs. Two suspects were arrested, the police said in a statement.

Three people sustained minor injuries in a stabbing on a terrace on Grote Markt in Groningen on Wednesday evening. A 67-year-old Groningen man was arrested and a weapon was confiscated, the Groningen police said the following morning.
Several ambulances were deployed to the scene when the police received a report of a stabbing with multiple victims. The police later confirmed that the three victims sustained only minor injuries, including two "bystanders who tried to overpower the suspect."
