A 7-year-old boy died in hospital on Thursday evening after he collapsed on the field of football club AZSV's school in Aalten earlier that afternoon. Exactly what happened to the boy is still unclear, the Gelderlander reports.
Young Thijn was immediately helped by experts who happened to be on the sidelines of the field. An ambulance picked him up soon after his collapse and rushed him to hospital, where he passed away later in the evening.

Two young girls in Bunschoten and Soest reported being chased by cars over the past days in the area where two 14-year-old girls were found dead in Bunschoten and Achterveld over the weekend. The number of primary school pupils in the Netherlands has been shrinking for the past seven years, and that decrease will only continue, according to figures Statistics Netherlands released on Wednesday. In the year 2023 the Netherlands will have around 1.4 million primary school students, a decrease of 74 thousand or 5 percent compared to now.
The number of jobs filled in the Netherlands will increase for the first time in three years in 2015, according to benefits agency UWV. It is a sign the economic recovery is beginning to take hold in the workforce, which will develop even further next year when growth in the labor market should increase further, UWV says.

An investigation team of the police has completed the investigation into large scale copper thefts. Four suspects have been arrested on suspicion of involvement in a large number of thefts from the buildings of various high voltage substations in the eastern Netherlands.
The special investigation team was formed early in 2014 in consultation with the Public Prosecutor. This decision was made following a large number of burglaries at grid substations in the eastern part of the country in 2013. Mostly copper material was stolen during the burglaries.
