The partners of Dutch fighter pilots who were active in Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania in 2017, were harassed at home during this period. They received repeated, unpleasant phone calls from people with a Russian accent who asked whether their men should not rather leave the area, among other things, the Telegraaf reports.

Military intelligence service MIVD told the newspaper that it is familiar with this practice, but would not say anything further about it.

Police in Amsterdam were looking for any witnesses to a violent incident on metro line 50 when a gun was pulled out and pointed at someone’s head during an argument between passengers. The incident happened at about 4:40 p.m. inside a subway train bound for Gein.

Authorities say it all started when two men entered a metro car together behind a third man at the Sloterdijk station. The two men harassed several women in the subway, police said, including one who was seated opposite the third man. He spoke up in defense of the women.

An Amsterdam police officer was suspended last week after the officer was deemed guilty of harassment, police said in a statement. The harassment was specified as a stalking case, according to the Telegraaf.

The decision to suspend the officer was made on Tuesday. It was publicly announced a day later. No further details were released about the case.

It’s the second member of the city’s police force to be suspended in a week. On May 28 an Amsterdam cop was disciplined over suspicion of fraud and forgery, police said.

Wageningen University and Research has been threatened and harassed by a rejected student for years, to such an extent that the university was forced to get extra security. The university is now going to court to try and get the man to stop. "We find this extremely annoying", spokesperson Simon Vink of Wageningen University said to AD. "It has also been going on for years with peaks in which it is really intense."

A 16-year-old girl shot dead at her school in Rotterdam on Tuesday reported to the police that the man suspected of killing her was threatening her. Zamir M., the 31-year-old man suspected of murdering 24-year-old medical student Laura Korsman in Utrecht on July 11th, said that he remembers little of the incident, the court noted during an introductory session in this case on Tuesday. M.'s lawyer Annemiek van Spanje refused to respond to the court's comment, NU.nl reports.

"I met with my client on Tuesday morning and agreed to not react substantively yet", the lawyer said to the newspaper. "But I can place the comment."

The Public Prosecution Service will prosecute five former soldiers of the Airmobile Brigade at the Oranje barracks in Schaarsbergen for sexually abusing, harassing and humiliating three of their colleagues, the Telegraaf reports.

The Prosecutor refused to confirm this to NOS, because not all those involved have been informed yet.

The victims were saddled with large pizza deliveries they didn't order, magazine subscriptions they never signed up for and in some cases even had sex workers and hearses showing up at their doors, AD reports.

Two young girls in Bunschoten and Soest reported being chased by cars over the past days in the area where two 14-year-old girls were found dead in Bunschoten and Achterveld over the weekend. In both cases it happened while the girls were cycling in their home towns. The police are calling on local residents to keep an eye out for a black car in the area of Spakenburg and Soest, AD reports.Bunschoten, Soest, Spakenburg and Achterveld are all located no more than 20 kilometers from each other.

School organization LVO Parkstad is launching a full investigation into the suicide of 15-year-old student Tharukshan Selvam over the weekend, chairman of the organization Frank Schings said to 1Limburg.

The Heerlen boy attended the Grotius College, which falls under the school organization. He suffered bullying, harassment and racial abuse from fellow students, according to his family. It reached the point where fear of returning to school after the holidays resulted in his suicide.

According to a message his family posted on Facebook, young Tharukshan Selvam could no longer take the racial abuse, extortion, bullying and harassment on social media accounts from his classmates. Child protection caregivers increasingly face aggression and intimidation from parents of families they work with. In some cases the attacks get so severe that the caregivers find that they can no longer do their jobs, NOS reports.

A total of 21 thousand children in the Netherlands are under the supervision of child protection agencies. Two thirds of these kids were taken from their homes and laced in care. Child protection workers are regularly harassed by parents who are angry about their involvement in their lives.

The Discrimination Hotline for the Amsterdam region is calling on people to report cases of discrimination, harassment and racism during the Sinterklaas season, NOS reports.

According to the Hotline, the “controversial figure of Zwarte Piet”, annually causes situations to get out of hand at school, work and other public places. The Hotline is consciously choosing to actively participate in the debate on what Zwarte Piet should look like.

Over 1.2 million Dutch workers are being bullied, harassed or discriminated against in the work place, the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment announced on Monday. This unwanted behavior comes from both colleagues and managers or bosses. The ministry is launching a campaign to draw attention to this problem.
