Ajax has reportedly agreed to a transfer star winger Hakim Ziyech to Chelsea in a deal worth between 40 and 45 million euros, with bonuses tied to the player's performance. The 26-year-old, born in Dronten, has played internationally for Morocco over the last five years.

Chelsea attempted to deal with the Amsterdam club in January to secure Ziyech, but the negotiation failed. The deal between the two sides is likely to come this week, reported the Telegraaf, AD, and BBC.

Customs officers found approximately 1 thousand kilograms of cocaine during a check at the port of Rotterdam on Friday, February 7th. The drugs were hidden in a container loaded with bananas from Ecuador, the Public Prosecution Service said on Wednesday.

The cargo arrived at the port of Rotterdam early last week on a ship from Costa Rica. The bananas were destined for a company in Portugal. The Dutch authorities does not believe the Portuguese company had anything to do with the drug trafficking.

The drugs were confiscated and destroyed.

Police respond to a mail bomb in Amsterdam

Two mail bombs which exploded in Amsterdam and Kerkrade earlier on Wednesday were part of an extortion plot where the sender demanded an undisclosed amount of bitcoin. The demand was made with the promise that, if paid, the sender would stop distributing the explosives, police said in a statement.

The amount involved was not revealed so the information could be used against any eventual suspect, police said.

A suspicious letter was found in Maastricht on Wednesday, after two mail bombs exploded in Amsterdam and Kerkrade earlier in the day. There was no explosion in Maastricht, the Limburg police said on Twitter. Minister Sander Dekker for Legal Protection called the blasts "worrying". "As far as we can see now, there are no victims, no injuries. So that's great," he said to De Limburger. "For the rest, the police must investigate."

From the end of March, Transavia will charge passengers extra for large hand luggage, the company informed its travel partners. "If our passengers want to be sure that their trolley suitcase or backpack will go with them in the cabin, it will cost 10 to 30 euros extra per return flight," a spokesperson for Transavia said to the Telegraaf.
