The March storm that hit the Netherlands yesterday caused an estimated 10 million euros worth of damage. This is according to the initial estimation of the Alliance of Insurers, Blik op nieuws reports. By 11:00 p.m. last night, the emergency services network P2000 had received more than 1,300 reports of storm damage.

The court of appeal in Amsterdam ruled that the failed asylum seekers currently staying in the Vluchtgarage in Amsterdam, may be evicted at any time, Het Parool reports. The rejected refugees occupied the building in December 2013 because they feel that the shelter offered by the city was not enough.

The second victim that was trapped under the rubble of the collapsed Raab Karcher building in Ede yesterday, has passed away, Omroep Gelderland reports. The 45 year old, unresponsive man was found by sniffer dogs around 18:20 last night. The building collapsed around 12:30.

A partial building collapse in Ede, Gelderland left at least one person, and possibly a second trapped underneath rubble. The pair could have been trapped since 12:30 p.m. after the building's roof caved in, though rescue workers only discovered the first victim around 5:15 p.m., Omroep Gelderland reported.
