The police team investigating the disappearance of 12-year-old Rodechelies in Amsterdam, is taking into account that the girl is being kept hidden by someone. Hiding a child is a punishable offense, the police said in a statement.

Rodechelies was l in Bijlmer on Thursday morning, September 13th. Since then there's been no trace of her. Her parents are very worried.

The Public Prosecutor "has no case" against Jos B., the 55-year-old man from Simpelveld suspected of sexually assaulting and murdering 11-year-old in Brunssummerheide in 1998, B.'s lawyer Gerald Roethof said to RTL Nieuws on Tuesday.

Earlier on Tuesday Roethof told NU.nl that he still had to study additional documents the Prosecutor sent him.

Those who live in problem areas and break the law must be punished twice as harshly as those from another neighborhood who commit the same crime, according to VVD leader Klaas Dijkhoff. In this way he wants to force problem neighborhoods on the right path, he said to newspaper AD.

A new investigation was launched into the murder of a 63-year-old woman in Arnhem in 1998. The nine men convicted and sentenced to prison for her murder, may have been convicted based on false statements, the advisory committee for closed criminal cases ACAS announced on Tuesday, ANP reports.

The nine men were sentenced to between five and 12 years in prison. ACAS called their convictions "potentially unsafe" in advice given to the supreme court.

The second floor of a parking garage of supermarket Deka in Wormerveer collapsed on Tuesday. It is not yet clear if anyone was hurt or killed. Emergency services are at the scene, NRC reports.

At least five ambulances, the fire brigade and police are at the parking garage. Firefighters are not yet able to enter the collapsed structure, because it is still too dangerous, a spokesperson for local safety office Veiligheidsregio Zaanstreek-Waterland said to the newspaper.

Russia again blamed the Ukraine for shooting down Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 in 2014 in a surprise press conference held on Monday. According to the Russians, the BUK missile that shot down the Boeing was indeed produced in Russia, but was in Ukrainian hands at the time of the disaster. The international team investigating the disaster, JIT, said it will "carefully study" Russia's accusations, but also pointed out that in the past the country has been less than generous when it came to responding to requests for assistance, NOS reports.

The Health Care Inspectorate closed the Arduin care institution in the Zeeland village of Aagtekerke with immediate effect. The 14 residents must be transferred to other healthcare institutions within seven days, the Inspectorate said, ANP reports.

Arduin offers residential care for people with intellectual disabilities. According to the Inspectorate, the institution's employees are unable to provide the proper care for their clients. The organization is also careless with freedom-restricting measures used on residents.

A patient set herself on fire in the emergency room of the Laurentius Hospital in Roermond on Saturday morning. Nothing is known about the identify of the patient, only that she is a young woman. She was taken to the burns center in Beverwijk by helicopter, NOS reports.

The entire ground floor of the hospital was full of smoke as a result of the action. The ground floor was evacuated while the fire department ventilated the building. Two other patients waiting for treatment in the emergency room were taken to another hospital.

The police are looking for 12-year-old Rodechelies. The girl went missing in Amsterdam Zuidoost on Thursday. "Her family is very worried", the police said.

Rodechelies was last seen on Thursday morning at apartment building Kruitberg in Bijlmer. She is about 1.6 meters tall with black hair, brown eyes and braces. The police call on anyone with information about the girl's whereabouts to contact them at once.

A spokesperson for the police refused to tell AT5 anything about the girl's situation at the time of her disappearance.

A man was stabbed at a playground on Van Galenstraat in Zwolle on Sunday afternoon. The victim was taken to hospital with unknown injuries. The police are looking for the perpetrator. The victim is the father of a child who was playing at the playground at the time, local residents told RTV Oost.

Witnesses told newspaper AD that the victim made a comment about a joint the perpetrator was smoking. The perpetrator stabbed him four times and ran off.

The police arrested a 16-year-old boy after a shooting at the Kennis- en Expertisecentrum (KEC) de Donderberg in Roermond on Friday morning. No one was injured, NOS reports.

The boy arrived at te school with a firearm at around 8:30 a.m. He fired multiple shots, both inside and outside the school. No one was hit.

Teachers tried to keep the teenager talking while the police responded. Officers arrived a few minutes later and overpowered the boy outside the school.

One person was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a "violent incident" in a home on Vlietstraat in Amsterdam on Thursday night, the police said on Twitter. The victim was found on the street. 

The police responded to the scene shortly before midnight after reports of a shooting. When emergency services arrived, they found the victim on the street. Witnesses told NH Nieuws that the victim fell or was pushed from a second floor window. 

The police are investigating what happened. It is not yet clear whether there was a shooting.

The government is pushing extra money into the police and fighting cybercrime next year. A once off amount of 30 million euros will go to fighting cybercrime, and the police will get an extra 58 million euros, sources in The Hague told newspaper AD.

The extra 58 million euros for the police comes on top of the approximately 260 million euros already being invested.

One of the suspects in a early in June, committed suicide while in custody in the prison in Vught, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Justice and Security confirmed to Omroep Brabant. 

Sources identified the man as 36-year-old Walter D. to the broadcaster.

A person was found dead on Stoomwezenstraat in Apeldoorn on Tuesday afternoon. Emergency services tried to resuscitate the victim, but it was to no avail. The police are investigating whether the victim was killed in a crime, De Stentor reports.

The body was found around 5:00 p.m. At around 6:00 p.m. the police were investigating a third floor home of an apartment building next to where the body was found, according to the newspaper. Forensic investigators could be seen on the home's balcony. 

What exactly happened is not yet clear.

The Public Prosecution Service will prosecute five former soldiers of the Airmobile Brigade at the Oranje barracks in Schaarsbergen for sexually abusing, harassing and humiliating three of their colleagues, the Telegraaf reports.

The Prosecutor refused to confirm this to NOS, because not all those involved have been informed yet.

The United States is threatening with sanctions against the International Criminal Court in The Hague and its judges if the ICC participates in an investigation into possible war crimes committed by American soldiers in Afghanistan. "The United States will use any means necessary to protect our citizens and those of our allies from unjust prosecution by this illegitimate court", US national security adviser John Bolton said in a speech in Washington, the Guardian reports.
