The extra Euro-group meeting about the issue with Greece last night did not achieve anything. Further talks have been pushed back until Monday. In two weeks the Greeks will have no money, and the other 18 Euro Ministers will only agree to help them further if the Greeks accept the conditions attached.

There was another shooting incident in Amsterdam last night. A 39 year old man was shot in a house on Maurits Sabbehof in Nieuw-West, supposedly by a family member, NOS reports. The victim died a short time after the incident.

The network outage that took down Rijksoverheid.nl and many other government and private websites on Tuesday was caused by a Direct Denial of Service attack, the government revealed on Wednesday. As the takedown was happening on Tuesday, a representative of the National Cyber Security Center told the Telegraf that they had no evidence of a cyber attack.

Dutch discount retailer Blokker announced plans to let go of 440 staff members out of 7,200 total employees. The move is a necessary cost cutting measure to make the firm more competitive, the company said on Monday.

Blokker had been testing a new strategy in a handful of stores since last summer. That strategy will be rolled out company-wide to make the store more competitive against other retailers, and includes an attempt to do more sales online.

The police arrested a 67 year old Rotterdam resident in the Maasstad Hospital on Friday. The man is suspected of causing the explosion in an apartment on Moddermanstraat in Schiebroek, Rotterdam on Sunday, February 1st. He will appear before the magistrate today.

That is an increase of 2.1 percent compared to the previous academic year. The most popular courses in the current academic year is Law, Psychology and Medicine.
