Roughly 300 different people contacted the public prosecutor's office claiming to have information about the perpetrators who brought down Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 last year. The flight, which left Amsterdam for Kuala Lumpur, was presumably brought down by a Russian made surface-to-air BUK missile, leading the prosecutor's office to appeal to the public in multiple languages for witness testimony.

Several failed asylum seekers evicted from the makeshift refuge, Vluchtgarage, began living in a tent camp in De Pijp, Amsterdam on Monday night to show their discontent with the municipality's lack of a permanent solution for their basic needs. Amsterdam Mayor Eberhard van der Laan is against the tent camp, saying it is prohibited by law to set up a tent and sleep in a public place, a city press release states.

A terrorist cell that was planning “targeted attacks” on the Netherlands was dismantled today in the Moroccan town of Salwane, authorities there have reported. One Moroccan national was arrested in the Netherlands.

A press release issued by the country’s Ministry of Interior Affairs said that six people “imbued with jihadist ideas” were arrested during the raid. It said that the cell wanted to “implement IS terrorist agenda; targeted terrorist would be carried out in the kingdom, including the assassination of individuals they accused of having beliefs that contradict their own.”

Investigators and salvage crews are returning to the Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 crash site again next week in Eastern Ukraine to ensure the recovery of the last human remains, personal belongings of the victims and fragments of the plane, Deputy Prime Minister Lodewijk Asscher announced on Friday.
