The police and municipality of The Hague prevented a clash between ADO fans and Ajax supporters on Sunday. The intention was that Ajax fans would protest on the Maliveld in The Hague on Sunday, but mayor Pauline Krikke changed the location at the last moment to prevent an altercation between fans of the two football clubs. Six ADO supporters were arrested on the Malieveld, RTL Nieuws reports.
Multiple windows, doors, traffic signs, walls, tram stops and a statue in Amsterdam were covered in paint and graffiti overnight. ADO Den Haag fans seem to be claiming the action on social media, the Telegraaf reports.
The vandalism was committed in green and yellow paint - the colors of football club ADO. 'JHK' was spray painted on multiple walls and tram stops. According to the newspaper, 'JHK' is short for 'Joden Hebben Kanker', or 'Jews have cancer' in English. Ajax fans are often called 'Jews', a nickname they embraced.

This winter's first skating marathon on natural ice will happen in Haaksbergen on Monday night. The ice on skating club IJSCH's rink was between 4 and 5 centimeters thick on Monday morning, thick enough for a marathon, national skating union KNSB announced on Twitter.

The number of reports of sexual misconduct in Dutch sports more than doubled over the past year, according to figures from Victim Support. In 2017 there were 30 reports about unwanted sexual behavior, last year there were 70, NRC reports.
Nearly two thirds of reports were made by victims themselves, the rest by sport associations and people who know the victims. In 90 percent of cases the victim was underage, 55 percent are female.
The Public Prosecutor launched an investigation into Jerry M., an athletics coach from Rotterdam who confessed to sexually abusing a number of teenage girls for years, NOS reports.
The 58-year-old man confessed this past summer after an investigation by the sports and judiciary institute ISR. The ISR found that M. abused at least nine victims, the youngest of whom was 11 years old, between 1983 and 2017 at various athletics clubs in Rotterdam and The Hague.
Athletics coach Jerry M. from Rotterdam is suspected of sexually abusing young athletes at multiple clubs since 1983, even getting two underage girl pregnant, the Telegraaf reports. Almost all of M.'s crimes have since become barred, but according to the newspaper, the police were aware of signs that the now 58-year-old man were abusing young athletes since at least 2000.

A 13-year-old boy died in 's-Heerenberg in Gelderland on Saturday after he hit his head hard in a collision with another football player on the field. The boy was a youth player for football club MvR, NOS reports.
The young keeper collapsed after the collision and stopped breathing. Bystanders provided first aid while emergency services responded. The boy was rushed to hospital with a serious brain injury. He died in hospital later in the day.

Over 13 months after Ajax player Abdelhak Nouri sustained severe brain damage after a heart attack on the field, his family decided to give an interview to update the public on how he is doing. Six people were arrested because of a disturbance in the Johan Cruiff Arena in Amsterdam on Saturday night, during a match between Ajax and Heracles Almelo. The police are investigating whether this incident in the stands is connected with a steward having a heart attack in the stadium, Het Parool reports.
The suspects, five men and a woman, were arrested in and outside the stadium. The investigation is still in full swing, the police said on Sunday. Officers are talking to witnesses and viewing surveillance camera footage.
The 102nd edition of the Nijmegen Vierdaagse kicked off at 4:00 a.m. on Tuesday. A total of 44,480 people are participating in the four-day hike this year. The first day of hiking s known as the Dag van Elst, or the Day of Elst in English. Participants will hike through the Betuwe towards Arnhem and the come back to Nijmegen via Bemmel, covering 30, 40 or 50 kilometers.
