NH Radio decided to boycott music by Michael Jackson for the time being, in connection with controversial documentary Leaving Neverland which will be broadcast in the Netherlands on Friday, NH Nieuws said on its website.

In the documentary, Michael Jackson is accused of sexually abusing Wade Robson and James Safechuck, two men who belonged to the American singer's inner circle of friends. They tell in detail how Jackson abused them for years as children.

The R. Kelly concert scheduled in Amsterdam next month has been cancelled, the venue The Box announced in a statement on Monday. Kelly was arrested in Chicago on February 22, where he faces ten counts of aggravated sexual abuse involving four victims, three of whom were underage at the time.

Strong winds  had a major impact on air traffic at Schiphol Airport on Monday. Over a hundred flights were canceled, and hundreds more were delayed.

Amsterdam venue The Box removed an R. Kelly concert scheduled for April from its website. The link which used to give details about the concert now only reads "page not found". The event is still scheduled to take place, as the concert promoter has not yet canceled it, the venue confirmed to NL Times.

The Amsterdam venue booked for an R. Kelly concert in April now says it wants the event scrapped following the musician's arrest in Chicago on Friday. A judge in Cook County, Illinois set Kelly's bond at $1 million the next day after a prosecutor laid out details of 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse against four female victims, three of whom were between 13 and 17 years of age.

Teachers and pupils at a secondary school in Veenendaal were shocked to find out that five new pupils at the school weren't high school kids at all, but actors placed at the school for a television program, De Volksrkant reports. Recordings for the RTL 4 program, called Klasse, have since been halted.

The Christelijk Lyceum Veenendaal (CLV) management organized a meeting in which the school admitted that it was aware that the five new pupils were actors. But the teachers and pupils had no idea and the revelation caused quite a bit of unrest last week, according to the newspaper.

Three of the best known hiphop groups in the world are heading to Amsterdam for a joint show. Wu-Tang Clan, Public Enemy and De La Soul will perform at the Ziggo Dome on May 16th for the Gods of Rap Tour, Oor reports.

With this tour the three hiphop acts are each celebrating an important anniversary for their iconic albums. Wu-Tang Clan's debut album Enter The Wu-Tang: 36 Chambers celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. And Public Enemy's It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back and De La Soul's 3 Feet High and Rising both turn 30.

Next week NS plans to have hundreds of people on the edge of their train seat with a thriller story that will play off through WhatsApp messages, the rial company announced on Wednesday. 

The thriller is called Ontspoord, which translates to 'Derailed' in English and was created by Melle Runderkamp, according to ANP. The story is about Sarah, who accidentally witnessed something she shouldn't have and then disappears. Sarah must prove that she is innocent before she is found.

The person who created a petition calling for an upcoming R. Kelly concert to be canceled said they did so because they think he is a dangerous person who should be incarcerated. Speaking exclusively to the NL Times, the initiator had quickly collected over two thousand signatures from people who agree that the controversial singer’s show in Amsterdam should be scrapped.

A performance by French rapper MHD set to take place at AFAS Live in Amsterdam on Wednesday evening, was canceled at the last minute. The rapper was arrested in connection with a fatal brawl, NU.nl reports.

"Due to unforeseen circumstances, the concert of MHD in Amsterdam on 16 January in AFAS Live can not continue to our great regret", MHD's organizers said in a statement to AFAS Live. "We are working hard on a new date in Amsterdam and hope to confirm this as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and our sincere apologies for the inconvenience."

Despite the furor currently surrounding the American singer over multiple allegations of sexual abuse, R. Police have released six of the seven suspects taken into custody after the shooting death of rapper Faisal Mssyeh. Better known as Feis Ecktuh, or just "Feis", the 32-year-old was gunned down in Rotterdam early in the morning on New Year's Day.

His 31-year-old brother received a life-threatening injury during the shooting. Both victims were taken to an area hospital shortly after the incident.

An end-of-year spate of violent, dramatic crimes in Rotterdam spilled over into the new year, with the fatal shooting of rap musician Faisal Mssyeh. The 32-year-old, better known as Feis ​Ecktuh or just "Feis", died at a hospital shortly after the 5:15 a.m. incident on Tuesday.

A second person was hurt in the shooting, a 31-year-old man, who was also taken to a hospital, police said. Seven suspects were taken into custody, including four men between the ages of 36 and 45, two women aged 32 and 59, and a 15-year-old girl.

An Enschede resident is starting 2019 out 30 million euros richer. He or she won the main prize of the State Lottery's New Year's Eve draw. The draw fell on lot AV 83402, AD reports.

On Monday a record number of 32 lots per second were bought between 2:00 and 3:00 p.m. That amounts to over 115,000 lots in one hour. In total over 6.3 million lots were sold. The total prize package for the New Year's Eve draw came out at over 67.5 million euros.

A number of families in Ede, along with volunteer organization Malkander, offered 24 lonely people a spot at their Christmas dinner table on Tuesday. The goal was to make sure that people who are usually alone on Christmas could still have a fun day, NOS reports.

This initiative was started by Daan Overeem and his wife Marilu Kessele last year. "There are all sorts of initiatives just before Christmas, but on the days itself it's quiet. We just want people who feel lonely to have a great day, because the Christmas days can be most painful", Overeem said to NOS.

Princess Amalia, crown princess of the Netherlands and the eldest daughter of King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima, is turning 15 years old on Friday. She will be celebrating her birthday with her family and a few friends, Queen Maxima said to RTL Nieuws.
