According to the clinics, there is currently too little budget for them to effectively treat dangerous patients with a mental or psychiatric disorder. A person who attempted to break into the Geuzencollege in Vlaardingen on Monday morning, may have left his ID card at the scene of the crime, Rotterdam police officer Romano Meijboom said on Twitter.
The suspect broke a window of the Guezencollege with a brick, but was startled away by the burglar alarm, the police believe. When responding officers arrived at the scene, they found an ID card left behind.
A hand grenade was found at an apartment building in Kerkdriel, where the mayor of the municipality of Maasdriel lives, on Monday morning. Dozens of local residents were evacuated as explosive experts disarmed the device, local safety office Veiligheidsregio Gelderland-Zuid said on Twitter.
The explosive was found just before 5:30 a.m. At 11:00 a.m., the safety office announced that the device had been disarmed and no longer posed a danger to the surroundings. Gasthuisplein an Monseigneur Zwijsenplein were cordoned off for investigation.
The art'otel on Prins Henndrikkade in Amsterdam was evacuated on Monday morning after a gas leak caused a major fire in front of the hotel, which is located across the street from Amsterdam Central Station. So far no injuries were reported, a spokesperson for the police said to NU.nl.
At 11:09 a.m., the fire was reported to be a "medium-sized fire". The alarm was elevated to "large fire" at 11:10 a.m., and to "very large fire" five minutes later.

"We find this incredibly antisocial," a spokesperson for the NS told RTL Nieuws. The affected train was removed from service and replaced with another vehicle. The NS said it has to remove the paint and clean the train.
A 10-year-old boy was attacked by a woman, for no apparent reason, as he was cycling on Acaciastraat in Haarlem on Thursday. The child had to be hospitalized to be treated for his injuries, the police said in a statement on Friday.
The boy and a friend were cycling on Acaciastraat at around 5:30 p.m. when the woman cycled in between them. She kicked the boy, causing him to fall, the police said. As the boy was lying on the ground, the woman kicked his head multiple times and then cycled away.
A car with Dutch license plates was overturned on the A12 highway near the Belgian village of Zandvliet sometime during the night between Thursday and Friday. The two people in the car died in the crash. Sadly, the crashed car was only noticed after daybreak, RTL Nieuws reports.
"We suspect that [the victims] are Dutch, but that remains to be seen", a spokesperson for the local police said to RTL Nieuws. Police are still confirming their identities.
A 10-year-old girl from Eritrea died in a hospital in Maastricht on Thursday after she fell from a window of the asylum center in Heerlen on Saturday, a spokesperson for the central agency for the reception of asylum seekers COA confirmed to De Gelderlander.
The girl fell from a first floor window, and very unluckily landed on her head. She was rushed to the academic hospital in Maastricht with serious injuries.
A car containing items with a potential explosion hazard was found in Didam, Gelderland on Thursday. The police believe the Audi may have been involved in an ATM bombing in Germany earlier in the morning, a police spokesperson said to De Gelderlander.
The ATM bombing happened in the Duisburg area early on Thursday morning. Afterwards, there was a police chase on the A18. During the chase, the Audi hit a police vehicle, before escaping police pursuit.
A 68-year-old man was arrested for leaving a jerry can in an empty train in Leeuwarden on Thursday, prompting the evacuation of the entire train station. He is suspected of arson, the police said.
The police suspect that the man wanted to either start a fire or cause an explosion in the train. He is in custody for questioning.

The woman on the cargo bike ended up underneath the bus and did not survive the accident. Her child was not hurt, NU.nl reports.
The police evacuated Leeuwarden train station after a suspicious object was found in a train at the station, the Friesland police said on Twitter. The police's explosive team are at the scene to determine whether the Ministry of Defense's explosive removal department needs to be called in.

The Thalys train from Amsterdam to Paris was halted in Rotterdam on Wednesday morning, after a man "acting aggressively" caused some panic on the train, the Rotterdam police said on Twitter. "Travelers heard the man call 'Allahu Akbar', and panic broke out briefly," the police said.
A witness told broadcaster NOS that the man attacked travelers and shouted 'Allahu Akbar'. Panicked travelers tried to run to other compartments. According to the police, no one was hurt and no weapons were found.
