Four Dutch who were engaged in making a documentary about homosexuality in Russia, have been arrested on suspicion of gay propaganda. This was reported by the NOS. Today the four face the court. They get support from the staff of the Dutch consulate.

The prosecution demands a fine for the four. The Dutch were arrested at a festival in Murmansk, near the border with Finland. One of the arrested is Kris van der Veen, councilor for GroenLinks in Groningen.

A sailing out pilot has found 200 kilos of cocaine in the Westerschelde (Zeeland). The drugs were packed into ten sports bags which were attached with ropes to empty jerrycans, to keep them afloat. This was reported by the National Office of the Public Prosecution (OM) on Tuesday.

The discovery was done on ​​Saturday morning. The drug packages floated in the Westerschelde near Vlissingen. According to the OM, the cocaine has a market value of about 7 million euro.

Jeroen Dijsselbloem, Minister of Finance, has passed the names of some Greeks, with ships sailing under Dutch flag, to the Greek authorities. A spokeswoman of the Ministry of Finance confirmed this on Monday. The information was made public by the Greek newspaper Parapolitika.

According to the newspaper, the Greeks are suspected of tax evasion in their country. There are 180 people involved.

Dozens of pupils have discussed the violent death of their 17-year-old fellow schoolmate  from Roden on Thursday at the Lyceum ‘The Linden Borg’ in Leek. The unfortunate girl was stabbed by her ex-boyfriend of 19 years on Tuesday in her parents' home. She died later in the  hospital.

The 47-year-old gunman who shot at three passers-by, from his home at the Pierre Kemp Street in Melick (Limburg) on Wednesday afternoon, was arrested by a SWAT team. The weapon he used was most probably an air gun. The man was transported handcuffed and blindfolded in a police car. During the raid by the SWAT team, shots were heard. The police, however, did  not confirm a shooting during the arrest.

A member of the SWAT team was slightly injured and was treated on the spot by paramedics.

Amsterdam has identified 2500 ghost citizens during a  2-year investigation of addresses. The investigation of the city also revealed welfare and benefits fraud. This is evident from a coverage on Monday from RTL News.

The municipality compared 58,000 addresses from the municipal administration and addresses of benefits agency UWV. The municipality says that the number of addresses where fraud was determined was rather small, but the fraud amount per address was considerable.

Four Romanians who pretended to be police officers, have been arrested on Sunday in Rotterdam. The police reported that three of them tried to rob a 53-year-old Taiwanese by pressing him a corner while they yelled 'police' and showing him something that looked like a police badge.

A mass street fight in Rotterdam-Zuid on Tuesday, ended in a stabbing in which two people got wounded. One person has been arrested. That announced the police.

The location of the fight was the Paul Kruger Street. An estimated 15 to 20 people have been fighting with each other. There were also knives drawn. Two people ended up with stabbing wounds. A man was stabbed in the side, another in an arm. Both were treated in a hospital.

The police has no idea what caused the fight.

CCTVs and observers on fishing vessels, should prevent fish being illegally dumped. State Secretary for Economic Affairs, Sharon Dijksma , believes that better control is needed to prevent prohibited fish dumps at sea, reports the AD.
