Diplomats who don’t pay their traffic and parking fines should not be able to keep their CD registration. This is a plea of CDA MP Peter Omtzigt and The Hague councilor Cees Flitter (CDA). It is according to the CDA politicians the best solution to force the diplomats to pay their fines, reported the AD.

In 2012, in The Hague, a total of 1095 parking tickets were issued to the holder of a car with CD number plates. In 454 cases only, the penalty was paid. There is still an open amount of 40,000 euro.

Tempers rose high in the nightlife and the homely atmosphere, this weekend. The police reported on Sunday a large number of incidents across the country.

Two people were wounded in a conflict in a festival tent in Wildervank, including one of the quarrelers, but also a 37-year-old man from Stadskanaal who wanted to appease the situation. In Leeuwarden, a 19-year-old boy hit several people. Why he did so, is not clear. He opposed to his arrest and went hand coughed to the hospital.

Prostitution boats at the Utrecht Zandpad  have to close on Thirsday. Window Operator Wegra had asked the court in Utrecht to come back on the decision of the municipality to close the boats. However, the administrative judge rejected that request.

The boats have to be closed on Thursday morning at 9:00am because Wegra would be involved in human trafficking. For the same reason Utrecht closed previously boats of two other operators.

The closure of the boats puts 200 women out of a job. At Wegra about 28 jobs are at risk.

At a cemetery in Borne, Twente,  17 graves have been destroyed. The police reported this on Wednesday.

A day earlier a witness reported that there was someone stealing items from the graves. The police could not find the man, but research showed on Wednesday that there were 17 graves damaged. Presumably, copper and bronze statues were stolen from these graves.

Many fruits growers do not follow the rules. This announces the Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVW) after the annual audit at 100 of the 3200 growers.

About a third of the growers used banned substances to protect their crops against insects and diseases. Also is their administration often not in order.

Three of the seven famous paintings, which were stolen from the Kunsthal in Rotterdam, were burned, says the leader of the Romanian researchers, Gheorghe Niculescu, who investigated  the whereabouts of the art works. “We have found convincing evidence that three paintings were destroyed by fire,” Niculescu said on Monday about the police investigation.

Four Dutch who were engaged in making a documentary about homosexuality in Russia, have been arrested on suspicion of gay propaganda. This was reported by the NOS. Today the four face the court. They get support from the staff of the Dutch consulate.

The prosecution demands a fine for the four. The Dutch were arrested at a festival in Murmansk, near the border with Finland. One of the arrested is Kris van der Veen, councilor for GroenLinks in Groningen.

A sailing out pilot has found 200 kilos of cocaine in the Westerschelde (Zeeland). The drugs were packed into ten sports bags which were attached with ropes to empty jerrycans, to keep them afloat. This was reported by the National Office of the Public Prosecution (OM) on Tuesday.

The discovery was done on ​​Saturday morning. The drug packages floated in the Westerschelde near Vlissingen. According to the OM, the cocaine has a market value of about 7 million euro.

Jeroen Dijsselbloem, Minister of Finance, has passed the names of some Greeks, with ships sailing under Dutch flag, to the Greek authorities. A spokeswoman of the Ministry of Finance confirmed this on Monday. The information was made public by the Greek newspaper Parapolitika.

According to the newspaper, the Greeks are suspected of tax evasion in their country. There are 180 people involved.

Dozens of pupils have discussed the violent death of their 17-year-old fellow schoolmate  from Roden on Thursday at the Lyceum ‘The Linden Borg’ in Leek. The unfortunate girl was stabbed by her ex-boyfriend of 19 years on Tuesday in her parents' home. She died later in the  hospital. In the mega trial on 30 sham marriages, the Rotterdam court sentenced the suspects to community service orders of 120 to 200 hours. The judge concluded that 23 of the suspects married in Britain to help illegal Nigerians to get a residence permit.

The predominantly female Antilean-Dutch marriage candidates flew to Britain to apply for a British social security number.  With this number they applied for various benefits like tax benefits. The police has arrested four suspects of a burglary on Sunday in Amsterdam.The four men were suspects for a burglary that took place earlier on Sunday evening in Rotterdam. The arrest was not an easy job for the police, who had to do a wild chase on the A20, A4, A12 and A2.

Around half past eight the police received a telephone tip that four suspiciously behaving men moved around a house in Hoogvliet. When officers arrived on the spot, the four went off in a car at high speed.
